We’re powering ahead with our solar projects. More than 1,300 solar panels have now been installed at our Opava powder coatings site in the Czech Republic. Covering nearly 2,800 square meters, the panels will generate around 15% of the plant’s total electricity needs. The recent project represents another important step towards achieving our ambition of having 100% renewable electricity in our own operations by 2030. Can you spot the nod to Gaudi? Amazing work by Technical Consultant, David Kingsman, who crafted a stunningly artistic aircraft panel to celebrate our attendance at this week’s MRO Europe aviation exhibition in Barcelona. It took him more than 30 hours and involved 36 individual painting steps. We’re revolutionizing the color formula development process. Our ongoing collaboration with NMIMS University in Mumbai, India, is investigating how AI can help us solve color-matching challenges in the vehicle refinish industry. AI algorithms have already been implemented into our daily color-matching operations for a number of years. Together with students from the university’s Data Science department, we’re now looking into the next level of color-matching, using special effect pigment recognition that’s driven by AI. A month after being launched, our 2025 Color of the Year is already in a museum! True Joy is one of the Dulux shades on show at the National Museum in Warsaw, Poland – providing harmonious backdrops for an exhibition by Polish artist Józef Chełmoński. The vibrant color (known as Hello Yellow in Poland) also features on pedestals and various pieces of furniture, creating bold contrast through all the rooms. The exhibition runs until January 26.
