On Saturday, 7 September, visitors will have the opportunity to take a tour of our terminal at Broekman Project Services. Tickets went on sale last Monday, and there are still some available. In addition to the excursion, our colleagues will be present at the #MATCHCareerEvent on Friday, 6 September, held at the Nieuwe Luxor Theater. From spending hours as a child watching the movement, complexity, and size of the ships, not realizing how crucial the port is and that it serves as the engine of the economy, to now being part of that big engine. At Broekman Logistics, Stefan discovered a side of logistics he had never known before. As a true container enthusiast, he joined Broekman Logistics six years ago and entered a whole new world: breakbulk and project cargo. His Rotterdam mentality, combined with the company culture, has led Stefan to find what he believes is the right place for him. “And what I’m really proud of: I get to encourage the young people around me to grow,” says Stefan. 𝗔 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁: 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗻𝘇𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 Devika van Beveren vividly recalls her first time at the terminal. In her interview with Onze Haven, she mentions being amazed by the large sea vessels, the towering cranes, and the containers being transported from one point to another. From studying tourism to becoming an Operations Manager Ocean Import at Broekman Logistics, Devika's journey is truly inspiring. She loves the energy and hustle of the port environment, which she finds incredibly stimulating. Devika enjoys the direct impact her work has on the flow of goods and the satisfaction of solving complex logistical challenges. “Some people love routine, but I need challenges, I need to keep developing myself,” says Devika.
