📢 Announcement! 📢 We are excited to share that our research proposal on "Exploring the Intersection of Climate and Feminist Funding through CSR Frameworks in Emerging Market Economies", developed by our very own founders Beatrice Maneshi and Aviva Stein, together with Aditi Mukund of the Women In International Relations Network (WIRN) and Leonida Odongo, has been selected out of 123 proposals by the #WalkingTheTalk Consortium, composed of Restless Development, Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, Equipop and Hivos! As part of the call for papers for the upcoming "Financing for Feminist Futures" conference, we will be examining how feminist organizations and climate justice movements can better align and cooperate to access public and private funding in countries with emerging markets such as Kenya and India as part of regulations to promote fair, just, and sustainable futures for all. Watch this space for insights, trends, and intersectional feminist advocacy! #GenderEquality #FeministFunding #Research #ClimateAction #Sustainability #CSR #FloraFaunaAndFeminists #ClimateJusticeIsGenderjustice

What an incredible end to the summer! It’s always a rare treat when our globally-dispersed team can meet up in person. This week, consultants Noura Amkieh - Licensed Psychologist and Arianna Dini finally had the chance to connect face-to-face in London, where they shared a meaningful dinner they discussed their work in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in the Middle East, shared their experiences with postgraduate studies across different countries, and explored the insights therapy can offer on armed conflicts and political debates—areas in which both excel. Grateful for these moments of collaboration and connection! #Teamwork #GlobalCollaboration #MentalHealth #MHPSS #MiddleEast #PostgraduateStudies #ConflictResolution #PsychosocialSupport #GlobalConsulting #WomenInConsulting #ProfessionalGrowth

10 years have passed since ISIS first emerged, bringing with it unimaginable suffering, especially to the Yazidi community. This August marks a somber milestone — the 10th anniversary of the Yazidi massacre. As we reflect on a decade of resilience, let us honor the immense progress made by the Yazidi community in restoring peace and justice, even as the threat of terrorism persists. Today, we remember the victims, stand with the survivors, and reaffirm our commitment to a future free from terror.
Today, we pay tribute to and remember the village of Kocho in Sinjar. A decade has passed, yet the memory of the lives lost continues to echo through the hearts of the #Yazidi community and beyond. On August 3rd, 2014, as ISIL swiftly overtook other #Yazidi villages in Sinjar, the siege of Kocho began. For 12 harrowing days, the residents of Kocho endured isolation and terror. On August 15th, 2014, ISIL gathered all the inhabitants in the village school and separated them, the men and boys were brutally executed and buried in 17 mass graves throughout the village and the women and children were taken captive. The attacks on Kocho were not merely an assault on a community but an assault on humanity itself. We honor the resilience and bravery of the people from Kocho and stand in solidarity with their efforts to recover and rebuild. Yazda remains steadfast in our work to support the #Yazidi Community’s ongoing efforts for justice, recovery and rebuilding, and we stand in solidarity with survivors who carry the weight of unimaginable loss.
