Boston Logan’s terminal E – Marvel Made of Prepainted Metal 🌍✨ Boston Logan Airport’s Terminal E has been recognized as one of the World’s Most Beautiful Airports by the Prix Versailles 2024 Awards, presented annually at UNESCO! This stunning terminal also earned the American Architecture Award from The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, solidifying its place as a world-class architectural landmark. A huge congratulations to architect luis vidal + architects and AECOM, and all the visionaries who brought this project to life! One standout feature? The elegant use of custom "Boston Red" prepainted metal! This bold, bespoken finish adds a striking identity to the terminal, reflecting the spirit of Boston while meeting the highest standards of durability and sustainability keeping full colour consistency between roof and facades. 🔷 The Outsider 07 The Chapin School NK Architects New York City, USA The Chapin School was founded in 1901 by Maria Bowen Chapin with a mission to educate young women for global challenges. To modernize its facilities while honoring tradition, the school undertook a second vertical expansion of its original Georgian-style building, transforming it into a unified “vertical campus” for K-12 education. Key features of the expansion include a glass-enclosed gymnasium atop the addition, offering stunning East River and city views, and the conversion of the main gym into a student commons connecting the middle and upper schools. Initially designed with a mix of metal panels, glass, and masonry, the façade was reimagined to reduce complexity and cost. 🔷 The Outsider 07 Innovation Curve Technology Park Form4 Architecture, Inc. Palo Alto, California, USA The Innovation Curve Technology Park at Stanford Research Park, Palo Alto, comprises four uniquely colored buildings arranged around a central courtyard. Designed by Form4 Architecture, the structures symbolize the innovation process with sinuous façades that reflect peaks and valleys, extending from full-height central atriums to ground-level features. Each 10-meter-tall building has two floors and a basement, with twin symmetrical wings converging on glass façades. Overhanging roofs, deep eaves of recycled aluminum, and swooping curves evoke creativity and analysis, while extended horizontal bands and terraces represent implementation and success. Advancing circularity: StrongLite alloy steps up to 80% recycled content 🌎 We’re excited to announce a significant step forward in sustainable innovation: launching StrongLite alloy with 80% recycled content in Q1, 2025! This advancement marks a substantial leap from the ~50% recycled content in our current alloy, resulting in an impressive 40% reduction in carbon footprint. Initially, this new alloy will be available to select partners. As we expand our supply chain, we’ll bring it to more customers. This milestone moves us closer to our goal of achieving 100% recycled aluminum.
