Our Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Leon Kouters, joined other industry experts to explore current trends, pain points, and strategies for success in the aviation aftermarket. Here are some key insights from the discussion: 👉 Global flight hours have surged to 106% of pre-COVID levels, with an 8% year-over-year increase. 👉 Shortages are fostering creativity, with OEMs now sourcing PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) parts. 👉 Operators are increasingly open to third-party MRO providers for long-term service agreements. Constraints highlighted included: 🛑 Persistent labor shortages and skills gaps. 🛑 Ongoing supply chain disruptions impacting operations. 🛑 The aging fleet and delayed retirements, constraining the supply of used serviceable material (USM). [ANNOUNCEMENT] With the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 in full swing, we are delighted to announce the renewal of our Total Support Contract for Standard Parts with the Koninklijke Luchtmacht Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF). This agreement, revealed today at the show, ensures that Fokker Services Group will continue to provide comprehensive support for Standard Parts and Expendables, covering over 20,000 part numbers for a wide range of RNLAF platforms, including the AH-64 Apache, CH-47 Chinook, NH90, AS532U2 Cougar, C-130 Hercules, PC-7 trainer, and MQ-9 Reaper.
