📈 Investment in #OffGridSolar hit $1.2B from 2022 to 2023, up from $773M in 2020-2021! While that's a record, we still need $3.6B annually to achieve universal electricity access by 2030. What's needed to get things moving? 💡 More equity financing to support growth, product development, and market expansion for smaller players; 💸 Patient capital in local currency to help companies scale, innovate, and navigate downturns without pressure for quick profits; ♾️ Long-term commitments to end-user subsidies that reduce risks, incentivize growth, lower capital costs, and enhance subsidy effectiveness.
