Fantastic close to a successfull Netherlands Lounge participation in Ireland!
The Wind Energy Ireland Trade Show draws to a close in style…with the Ambassador’s session. Doing a sterling job standing in for the Dutch Ambassador, Mrs. Wemmechien Hofman, highlighted in her speech the importance of the deployment of offshore wind energy in ensuring Europe’s security of energy supply and delivering the European Green Deal. The Dutch play a vital role in offshore wind farm design, installation, construction and maintenance. Together with Ambassador Karen Van Vlierberge and Elin Burns, international cooperation is a shared priority towards maximising the full global potential of offshore wind. And the grande finale today, the unveiling of our superb new lectern, made with repurposed, retired wind turbine blades from Barnesmore, Co. Donegal, by Cork company BladeBridge. This is a successful collaboration which we are very proud of and we’re excited to be able to showcase today, gained lots of positive attention and adds to our ongoing circular economy accomplishments. Thanks to Eamon Ryan, Noel Cunniffe and Justin Moran for their support. Another successful trade mission, bringing Dutch expertise in contact with Irish counterparts. Thanks to all participants for the great atmosphere and positive contributions. We look forward to returning again next year!
