Nearly 500 participants came together for this year's edition of NAVISP Industry Days, underscoring the strategic importance of positioning, navigation and timing (PNT). This sector is a key enabler of 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 and 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, and ESA NAVISP continues to play a crucial role in supporting European industrial 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 and 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in this sector. Key takeaways from NAVISP Industry Days: 📌𝗣𝗡𝗧 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. It accounts for 60% of the space downstream market. 📌𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 and align with societal and economic needs. 📌𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. From optical technology to AI and quantum, new opportunities are constantly emerging and their benefits for PNT must be seized. 📌𝗡𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗣 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝗦𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 national PNT strategies and priorities. 📌𝗡𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗣 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: 350 running and completed projects, 55% ROI over 10 years, 90% commercial success rate, 1300 sustained jobs. 📌𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 to strengthen Europe's position on the global PNT stage and NAVISP Industry Days is the perfect setting to stimulate it. 🤝 ESA has signed a contract with UK’s EnSilica to develop a novel multi-band radio frequency receiver on a single chip. This all-European product will enhance resilience against satellite navigation spoofing and interference.   The agreement was formalized during NAVISP Industry Days in London. This event brings together key European stakeholders to foster innovation in satellite navigation under ESA’s Navigation Innovation and Support Programme (ESA NAVISP).
