Pivot Park welcomes new lector in Drug Discovery We're thrilled to welcome Dennis Löwik as the new lector in Drug Discovery at Pivot Park. Dennis succeeds Pedro Hermkens, who has expertly led and expanded the Drug Discovery minor over the past three years. With over 20 years of experience in medicinal chemistry, Dennis aims to grow the program further, focusing on early-stage drug research and integrating innovative techniques such as AI.   This lectureship, a collaboration with HAN University of Applied Sciences, fosters a hybrid learning environment where students, faculty, and companies engage in socially impactful research projects. Today, we had the pleasure of hosting the SLAS Netherlands community meet-up! This event centred on exploring funding opportunities in life sciences and biotechnology for launching successful start-ups. Vicki Loise opened the meeting with insights into the SLAS (Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening) society, while Britta Driessen discussed the entrepreneurial environment for start-ups at Pivot Park. Willem Mulder shared his valuable experiences in the start-up landscape, providing a great perspective for attendees.
