🚨 EUDR Update 🚨 The European Commission has just proposed an additional 12-month phasing-in period for the EU Deforestation Regulation (#EUDR) in response to global feedback. This extension, however, does NOT reduce the importance of due diligence in SSI and in the spices sector. 🌱 At the SSI- Sustainable Spices Initiative, we are strongly committed to ensuring that our members continue to prioritize #responsible #sourcing and #sustainability regardless of regulatory timelines. #Due #diligence practices are crucial, and we urge all members to leverage tools like Agriplace (free for SSI members) to meet their #compliance goals. Let’s continue to lead by example and build sustainable, #deforestation-free supply chains. 🌍💪 #SustainableSpices #EUDR #DueDiligence #Sustainability #ResponsibleSourcing
