The Foundation has now given free first-aid training to 52 young students! Since health is wealth, health education is a key part of our agenda. We aim to promote health equity and healthy behaviours to help build a flourishing global community. #worldhealthday2024

Last week we visited the CYTC to celebrate our achievements over the past year and usher in a new funding year with our partners Remind Learning, Gapstars, Fixico and Sarabel Capital. This year we have helped 244 students, and awarded 14 star performers with scholarships, financial aid and teaching placements 🙌🏾🤩 We hope to take even bigger strides this year and launch our journey to establish a leading technical university for an equitable digital future 🇱🇰 #givingback

Together we made a difference, thank you for racing with us! Last weekend we participated with a team from The Liv Foundation in Sri Lanka in the Race the Pearl cycling event. This 24-hour bicycle race goes 600KM across Sri Lanka, from the northernmost point in Jaffna to the southernmost point in Dickwella. Two well-known professional cyclists, Piotr Havik and Jan Bakelants, have jointly set a new record under the flag of the foundation by cycling the full distance in a time of 18 hours and 34 minutes. The purpose of this campaign was to draw attention to The Liv Foundation in a unique way, create awareness for the underprivileged youth of Sri Lanka and raise money to help even more students with a (technical) education this upcoming year. In the past year 2022/2023, The Liv Foundation helped 244 students and partly due to the success of this campaign and all the support from Gapstars and Remind Learning, we expect to further expand this number in 2023/2024 and make an even greater impact. We have managed to raise a total of more than €20,000 in donations in the past 72 hours and several well-known cyclists have already shown their interest to break Jan & Piotr's record for the foundation and the youth of Sri Lanka next year.
