Colleagues from our Young Professionals Programme in Argentina recently visited our Daireaux and Renova Timbues S.A crushing plants, as part of their development journey within Viterra. The Young Professionals Programme was launched in 2021 to kick-start the careers of recent or soon-to-be graduates and foster their #growth prospects, while giving them a deeper understanding of Viterra’s business operations. The young professionals from the industrial area visited the Daireaux Plant in the province of Buenos Aires. Over two days, colleagues completed a health and safety training, learned about the oilseed crushing process, toured the site and visited the storage and production areas. They also had a presentation where they discussed development and growth opportunities at Viterra. Additionally, the young professionals visited our Renova Timbués plant, where they met with participants from the programme's first edition. This was an opportunity for both groups to meet, share experiences and learn about the crushing process during a plant and port terminal tour. #theagriculturenetwork Viterra Argentina

Last month, Viterra UK colleagues attended the East Kent Ploughing Match at Great Bossington Farm, near Canterbury. Running since 1945, and with roots dating back to 1840, this annual gathering is a unique educational event that celebrates both tradition and innovation in farming. The match brings the local agricultural community together to showcase ploughing skills, from horse-drawn to modern tractors, while also offering a valuable space for knowledge sharing and networking. With thousands of attendees, the event featured competitive ploughing and crop judging for wheat, barley, and beans. For Viterra, it was an opportunity to connect with Kentish farmers, discuss upcoming challenges and opportunities, and enjoy the day alongside trusted suppliers. #theagriculturenetwork #event #UK

We are excited to have been announced as Regional Business of the Year at the 2024 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards earlier this month. We are proud of our contribution to the regional communities where many of our employees, customers and business partners live and work through employment and career development, and adding $1.2+ billion to the South Australian economy last season by purchasing grain from local growers and investing in our supply chain. We are also pleased to support and give back to regional communities through a range of sponsorships and initiatives, including partnering with the Adelaide Football Club on our Country connect programme and sponsoring various grower groups and events. We are pleased to announce our partnership with xFarm Technologies to support farmers in the adoption of practices focused on carbon measurement and regenerative agriculture. Viterra will provide its current and new farmer customers in Italy with access to xFarm Technologies’ digital agriculture solutions platform through two complementary programmes based on carbon measurement and regenerative agriculture. Stefano Predebon, Viterra Head of Carbon Trading, explained the goal of the partnership. “We want to offer our farmers the best-in-class tools and much-needed incentives to build a resilient, sustainable and future-proof supply chain. This month, Viterra colleagues in our Rotterdam office participated in the 11th edition of the Harbour Run Rotterdam, a running event in the Rotterdam port. Over 30 colleagues overcame an obstacle circuit that included multiple obstacles, such as crossing walls made of containers, going under harbour cranes or rope climbing, all while enjoying the view of the Rotterdam harbour. Viterra has participated in this event for several years, as it is an opportunity for colleagues to strengthen bonds and enjoy physical activity. This year, colleagues were able to prepare for this event through our office’s Vitality programme, which organised training sessions so that everyone participating could do their best at the run. #theagriculturenetwork #vitality #teambuilding

Happy World Food Day! At Viterra, we work every day to find sustainable ways to meet the needs of a growing world. This year’s theme for World Food Day is the right to "foods" for a better life and a better future. This encompasses food diversity, nutrition, affordability, accessibility, and safety. Viterra is responsible for the health, prosperity and sustainability of the communities where we source and operate and those we supply. This includes securing food supply and offering resources in case of crisis. Some of the initiatives that reflect our commitment towards our local communities include our partnership with Canadian Foodgrains Bank to support hunger response initiatives, and an event organised earlier this year by our flour brand in Brazil, Rosa Branca (Viterra) , to take basic food baskets to an isolated riverside community in the banks of the Acará River. Together, we are stronger and achieve more. #theagriculturenetwork #WorldFoodDay

Happy International Rural Women's Day to the millions of women across the agriculture industry who play an essential role in bringing food to the world. We would like to give particular recognition to the women of Viterra’s agriculture network, and the contribution they make across all areas of our business, from origination to logistics, sustainability, food security, land management, and more. Today, and every day, thank you. #theagriculturenetwork #womeninagriculture

In early September, our biodiesel, rapeseed meal and glycerin processing facility, Viterra Magdeburg GmbH, participated in Cycle Tour 2024, an annual regional cycling event. Alongside thousands of other #cycling enthusiasts, 10 colleagues explored the Saxony-Anhalt region and contributed to this initiative with their team spirit. Four #colleagues completed the 100 km route from Halle to Magdeburg and six others the 50 km route from Bernburg to Magdeburg. The tour ended at Magdeburg Cathedral Square, where all cyclists joined in a lively celebration at the finish line. We are delighted to have been part of this cycling festival, which connected us with both the local community and regional nature. Congratulations to the team for their dedication and efforts to complete the race! We look forward to participating in next year’s tour! #theagriculturenetwork #Germany #teambuilding

Last month, our Mexican office in Guadalajara successfully carried out the 2024 National Evacuation Drill, proving our strong commitment to emergency preparedness. During the morning of 19 September, over 65 colleagues participated in an earthquake/fire evacuation exercise coordinated by our Viterra Mexico Emergency Brigade. Specific protocols were implemented to ensure a safe, orderly, and efficient evacuation. These drills not only reinforce the importance of being prepared for an emergency, but also foster community cohesion and a safety culture among our colleagues. By simulating real-life scenarios, we increase awareness and the necessity of being prepared for natural disasters, ensuring a rapid response to any crisis. In addition to Guadalajara, the same exercise took place at our Encarnación de Díaz storage facility, with the participation of 24 colleagues, 11 transporters, and three contractors. We would like to thank our Viterra #Mexico Emergency Brigade for their help in this safety #drill. Their leadership and training made it possible for our teams to respond with confidence and efficiency. #theagriculturenetwork #healthandsafety #HSEC
