  • ✨  The power of connection ✨ Every day millions of creatives use WeTransfer to share their ideas with clients, business partners and friends. At the same time some of the world's largest brands use our full-screen immersive ad format to connect with consumers. On Tuesday, we had the absolute pleasure to host 40 leaders in the tech sector, discuss trends, share good food and make new connections. What a joy! A few key takeaways from our discussion: 🔹Trust matters more than ever – In an industry driven by rapid innovation, the brands that foster reliability and authenticity will stand out. 🔹Sustainability is no longer a “nice-to-have” – Among WeTransfer’s Tech Enthusiasts, 62% are willing to pay more for an eco-friendly product, signaling a major shift in purchasing behaviour. Please contact Natalie Fisher-Brown (Firth) or Nicholas Vandepeer to receive the full presentation and a range of creative campaign examples. Looking forward to continuing these discussions and seeing you at future events! #WeTransferAdvertising #Technology #IndustryInsights

“Is it too ‘Brat?’” “Feels quite gorpy.” “It’s a bit Kim K beige.” Trends are constantly overanalysed, but what about their impact on designers themselves? Our new report, made in collaboration with WeTransfer, investigates the trouble with trends and interrogates how designers can thrive in an industry constantly in a state of flux. Ten rules to live a creative life, according to one of the biggest names in global advertising for over six decades. We asked Sir John Hegarty to write us his Manifesto: https://lnkd.in/gz2JH4gb New to our Manifesto series? We invite activists and creatives with something to say, to write 10 rules to live by, in order to help spread their message.

It’s helpful to have code to live by.   Last year, WeTransfer asked me to think of ten rules for a creative life.   I threw in one extra for good measure. These led to the best work of my life. I hope they help you too.   1. Be an optimist. You have to believe that you are going to have an impact and make the world a better place. Energy and enthusiasm are contagious.   2. Remove the headphones. The world is full of inspiration. Listen.   3. Mix with the best. Great thinkers congregate, learn from each other and get inspired.   4. Read shit. Read good things in the hope it will rub off. Also, read outside your discipline to give you’re an unexpected advantage.   5. Respect your ego. Ego is “I”, your sense of belief, your opinion. Don’t allow this to become “hubris”. This is when your self-importance is too high.   6. Respect, don’t revere. Admire ideas, not people. The former don’t let you down.   7. Constantly question. Children are restless and constantly questioning. This is how their knowledge expands. Don’t be afraid to ask the unusual question. It will expand your knowledge.   8. Embrace juxtaposition. It will dramatize your message and encourage your audience to question ‘why?’.   9. Never exclude. Creativity is an expression of self. Make sure you have as many different selves in the room as possible.   10. Be inspired by beauty. Everyday beauty is all around you – just look for it. It will lift your creative spirit.   11. There are no rules.

  • Going to SXSW London next year? Then you get to decide on who leads the discussions via a public vote. Obviously, we want you to vote for us. 🙏 Set up an account and vote here: https://lnkd.in/ehzqd488 Our VP of Content Holly Fraser will be on the panel along with our friends at WFA, to discuss how you can create authentic brands in the age of AI. Is new technology distracting leaders from driving positive change? Is over-reliance on data the end of brand’s ability to contribute to culture? See you there ⏭️

Michael K Williams' final film The Brown Dog, now streaming on WePresent. Williams voiced the central character of “NOBODY”, a security guard slowly descending into darkness in an empty parking lot. This film is truly a celebration of Michael in what became his final performance, and is executive produced by his friends and former co-stars Steve Buscemi, Idris Elba and Chiwetel Ejiofor: https://lnkd.in/ecZ2FZV4 Commissioned by WePresent by WeTransfer ✨
