🚢 Q3 Highlights: growth, progress, and future focus We proudly announce our second-best quarter with an adjusted EBITDA of USD 503 million! Our Shipping and Government segments saw strong growth. We’re making good progress on contract renewals and we expect to announce further contracts before 2024 comes to a close. We constantly evaluate renewals or replacements to our chartered fleet to adjust to changes in customer demand, reduce emissions, and improve fuel economy. Despite some shifts in the auto and heavy equipment markets, demand across our services is high, and we’re confident that the EBITDA for 2024 will be somewhat better than 2023. 🎥 Watch the video for a quick Q3 summary and our future outlook! 📄 Read the full Q3 2024 report here: https://lnkd.in/duPPHU87

🌎 Thank you Breakbulk Americas! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of our customers last week in Houston, Texas, to talk about their breakbulk needs and our sustainable solutions. As Dan Cipolli, Senior Manager of Breakbulk Sales, aptly described it: this year’s conference was "fantastic.” It provided a valuable platform to discuss with our customers how the four new and larger Shaper Class vessels will play a key role in delivering net-zero logistics services, which we aim to implement by 2027.🚢 We also took the opportunity to demonstrate how our reduced carbon freight service, through the use of B30 biofuel, can help our customers reduce their scope 3 emissions and contribute to a greener global supply chain. 🌱 Despite the capacity challenges RoRo operators have faced recently, it was important for us to emphasize that the breakbulk segment remains a priority for us, and we are fully committed to supporting our customers in this area. 🤝 #WalleniusWilhelmsen #shipping #breakbulk #sustainability #logistics

🚢 Exciting news! We are upsizing 4 of our new vessels on order – making them the largest in the world! Four of the twelve Shaper Class vessels currently under construction at Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu) will be increased in size from 9,300 to approximately 11,700 CEUs. This will make them the largest PCTC vessels ever to sail and will play a critical part of our ambition to reduce costs and emissions as part of our net-zero end-to-end. 🌍⚓ These vessels will offer significant savings on fuel and emissions compared to our current fleet, while also providing unparalleled capacity and ramp strength. The vessels will be the ocean element of the integrated net-zero service we will offer customers from 2027. 📹 Watch the video below where Xavier Leroi, EVP & COO Shipping Services at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, provides further insights. 🔗 Read more in the article here: https://lnkd.in/di88S_fk

🚢🌍 Setting Sail for Sustainability: Our shared journey in decarbonization. Sharing highlights from the GRC Associate Group Meeting in Seoul! On September 10-11, Wallenius Wilhelmsen and industry leaders gathered in Seoul for a pivotal Global RoRo Community (GRC) meeting. This meeting hosted by Smart Freight Centre and GRC members brought together over 100 global participants both online and offline —including major deep-sea RoRo/PTCT operators, classification societies, cargo owners, NGOs and other stakeholders. The meeting in Seoul focused on tackling key challenges like improving GHG emission accounting for deep-sea RoRo shipping. From ballast leg allocations to the latest GLEC framework alignment, every discussion shaped the future of sustainable shipping. ❓Why this matters? The shipping industry is a major contributor to global emissions, and this collective effort is crucial in setting unified standards that ensure fair competition while accelerating decarbonization. By working together, we can drive real change, reduce our environmental footprint, and lead the way in sustainable global trade. 🌍⚓ As we continue this journey, collaboration remains key. Together, we’re driving progress toward a greener future!
