This award acknowledges our unwavering commitment to safety and innovation across our Business and the Transport Industry. A special thanks to AutoSense NZ for their nomination and ongoing partnership. Their In-Cab Driver fatigue and distraction technology has been instrumental in our ability to achieve this recognition. By implementing this technology, we have been able to uphold our core principle of "Safety First, Every Day." We would also like to thank our extensive service partner network for their engagement in this innovation to improve driver and road safety across the transport industry. This technology has played a crucial role in prioritising the safety of our people on the road. We are appreciative for the support of Autosense and their dedication to advancing road safety. 🔸 Congratulations to our Coda Drivers for their exceptional performance in the SAFED program! Every driver who completed the course excelled, demonstrating a high level of commitment to safe driving practices, and significant improvements in fuel efficiency. On their second drive, they achieved an average consumption rate of 2.62 km/litre, representing a 10.72% improvement over the first drive. This is well above the expected 5% improvement set by NZTA for heavy vehicles. Top Performers: Two of our most efficient drivers, achieving consumption rates of 2.99 km/litre and 2.91 km/litre, respectively. Environmental Impact: The improvements in fuel efficiency will have a positive impact on the environment. With our fleet traveling approximately 875,000 kilometers annually, if the 10% improvement can be maintained our fleet will use around 85,700 litres less diesel and emit about 23,450 Tonnes less CO2 per year. An outstanding result! Acknowledgments: We would like to express our gratitude to all the drivers for their willingness to embrace new driving techniques, sometimes which were way outside their comfort zone. These achievements were a direct result of their hard work and dedication. Additionally, we would like to thank our Despatch Team for their support in ensuring that drivers and vehicles were available for the training, despite operational demands. Finally, to Brian Parker, our Senior Trainer, whose expertise and dedication were instrumental in the successful implementation of this program. Brian's leadership not only have enhanced our fleet's safety but has also contributed significantly to our environmental sustainability goals.
