MATTR reposted this
Big news from Apple this week, and it wasn’t a new device or piece of software… It was unlocking iOS NFC access, which gives Developers building applications for iPhones the ability to take advantage of Apple’s contactless digital transactions. Motives aside, this “unlock” has the potential for simplified user experiences (tap to pay/verify), greater “wallet” choice, along with enhanced safety and security. This announcement also adds fuel to the already revved up engine in the evolving global #mDL #digitalD #digitalcredential #digitaltrust #decentralizedidentity #trustech markets. At MATTR we are actively championing efforts to establish digital trust that puts global standards, high assurance, and convenience at the core. This announcement comes at a pivotal time for the industry. Claire Barber John Horn Mike Kelley Oliver Terbu Tobias Looker Navrup Johal Tom

We can't wait to see everyone at the 10th International Interoperability Test Event!! 🎉
From October 2 to 5, Austroads is hosting with MATTR, a global event where #Digital Identity, #Wallet and #verifying providers have an opportunity to test their International Standard based products with the world's best. There is a small twist, at the heart of the Interop test event this year. Austroads will be road testing it's pre-production Digital Trust Service to anchor and harmonise the global Digital ID products that will be tested for this event. This is in preparation of harmonising Australian Digital Wallets in 2025 so no matter who, when or where you are, online or offline in Australia your Digital Driver Licences and Photo ID can be securely verified. Austroads will host a range of webinars on this event, from a high level overview of the event and the Digital Trust service to detailed technical debrief for those intending to participate. Check out the link below and look forward to seeing you. Big thank you to AAMVA (American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators) and EReg AISBL for allowing us to continue this tradition and to the ISO - International Organization for Standardization in particular #WG10 celebrating its 101 meeting in Sydney at the same time and #WG4. iTnews Biometric Update InnovationAus.com #VC #DigitalIdentity #mDL
