We are absolutely thrilled to have the support of Ulti Group who made a very generous donation towards the end of our Pitch In campaign and helped us fill the second pitch - thanks team! This support equates to over 3,000 meals for the wider community - a significant contribution. You can still support Kiwis in need and Pitch In. Getting food to where it’s needed most
About us
The New Zealand Food Network (NZFN) is a not-for-profit organisation, founded to provide people in need with healthy food, through sharing bulk surplus and donated food. We collect quality surplus and donated bulk food from producers, growers and wholesalers around the country, and distribute it to food rescue organisations, iwi and charities across New Zealand, so that they may feed the communities they serve. We believe it is our collective responsibility to ensure everyone in New Zealand has access to healthy, nutritious food. While nutritious food is important to everyone, access to this food can be particularly challenging for those who may be disadvantaged, while food insecurity may have an impact on a range of physical and mental health issues. To help address this, the NZFN works with a range of food producers, manufacturers and wholesalers to source a range of fresh and healthy foods, including fruit, vegetables, and protein. Any organisation wishing to find out more about becoming involved in the Network should get in touch via www.nzfoodnetwork.org.nz

Thanks to a fantastic partnership with Seeka Limited, over the last few months we've been able to deliver nutritious kiwifruit to communities in need via 39 of our nationwide Food Hubs. Kiwifruit that doesn't quite make retail standard gets a second chance at being used for its intended purpose - to nourish and feed hungry bellies! #NZFN #FoodSecurity #ZeroWaste #CommunitySupport #Kiwifruit #Sustainability

We took it back to where it all began, the iconic Eden Park. 💚 🏉 Pitch In raised over 200,000 meals to support our 60+ partner Food hubs nationwide. We got some of the gang together once more, to say how thankful we are for all your support. Your support made the difference and made this campaign all possible. Although we’ve reached the end of Pitch In, the demand for food support won’t stop there. We want to thank you for joining us on this journey and invite you to continue to advocate for this important cause. Together we can all work to create more food-secure communities across Aotearoa. 🌍 It’s World Food Day! 🌍 Today, we unite in the global fight against hunger. Here in New Zealand, our Pitch In campaign has helped provide nearly 200,000 meals to whānau in need, but we still have a chance to make an even bigger impact. With just hours to go, we’re asking for your help one last time. A final donation today will help us make sure that more Kiwis have access to nutritious food and essential items. If you’re able, please Pitch In now and be part of something truly special, providing over 200,000 meals for Kiwis across the country. Together, we can make sure no one is left behind. Thank you to Fonterra for your fantastic contribution of 24,000 servings of dairy nutrition towards our Pitch In campaign, getting us that one step closer to our goal! This is vital support for the community. The thoughtful donation of yoghurt just before the school holidays was greatly appreciated. There's still time to donate and support if you can. Visit pitchin.org.nz for further info. #PitchIn #WorldFoodDay #Fonterra

The latest Food Security Snapshot found that a third of our Food Hubs' monthly recipients were needing food assistance for the first time. Our work at the NZFN shows the power of community collaboration with solutions that connect surplus food to those who need it most. Thanks to ThreeNews for highlighting this important issue. It's the final week of the Pitch In campaign! Just like in rugby, when the clock’s ticking down, and it’s time for that last try, we’re calling on all Kiwis to Pitch In one more time! With your incredible support, we’ve already generated over 150,000 meals for Kiwis in need. But with just one week to go, we’ve got one final push to make before the campaign ends on World Food Day, October 16th. Help us finish strong and make a real impact by donating today. Together, we can help more whānau facing food insecurity across Aotearoa. 🌍 💚 🏉 Let’s cross the try line at Eden Park, New Zealand together – every bit helps!
