Introducing Winstone Wallboards' new National EHS Manager, Sarah Becker. Six months into her role, she's been inspired by the team's proactive approach to safety. "If it's got anything to do with safety, we just get it done. I think that's really refreshing and shows a clear understanding of the fact that if you don't manage your critical risks and look after your people, you're not doing the right thing." With over 20 years in safety leadership and a background in civil engineering, Sarah is passionate about protecting people and making a lasting impact. Outside of work, she's always up for an adventure -whether it's hiking, snowboarding, or fishing. At home, she's a dedicated mum, cheering on her two teenage boys alongside her husband, Glenn.

Do you know the origins of the GIB® brand name? It started its journey in the early 1930s when a staff competition offered a £30 cash prize for the best name. Gibraltar board was chosen for its association with the strength and resilience of the Rock of Gibraltar. In 1979 Gibraltar board changed to Gibboard and in the early/mid 90’s, it was shortened to 'GIB®’. Today, we’re proud to continue standing with Kiwi businesses building a better New Zealand together.

On Friday 24th January, over 100 of our amazing staff, customers, family, and friends joined Team GIB® in the Crusade with Heart event: The Long Run. Our goal? A Top 3 finish. Our result? 1st place with an incredible 1,403 laps! 🏆 Most importantly, this helped raise $229,934 (and counting!) for the Child Cancer Foundation.
