Petrogas Rima organized The Annual QHSE Day 2024 in its 16th version themed ‘Safety Mindset’ under the Auspices of Sheikh Hamad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Wali of Al Jazir Province in Rima Field. The QHSE day aims to reinforce the culture of safety and awareness among employees, contractors and the local community. The event included a walk activity, blood donation campaign and safety awareness exhibition & lectures organized in cooperation with The Traffic Safety Institute and The Directorate General of Combatting Drugs & Psychotropic Substances at The Royal Oman Police, Petroleum Development Oman, Mwasalat, Contractor Companies, Salalah Sultan Qaboos Hospital, Al Jazir Charity Team, Al Jazir Omani Women’s Association, Rima School and Al Ghubra School in Al Jazir Province.

We were delighted to participate in the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) International Conference & Exhibition #ICE2024 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre for the first time in the Middle East. This year the exhibition focused on the role of geosciences in shaping our energy future and brought together a global audience of technical decision makers, academics and government representatives working in both the traditional oil and gas sector as well as on energy transition and sustainable development initiatives.

The Helm, Helder and Horizon oil fields, a cornerstone in the history of the Dutch offshore oil industry, are now being decommissioned by Petrogas E&P Netherlands together with Heerema Marine Contractors.   As the platforms have reached the end of their life, Petrogas is undertaking the complex task of decommissioning the platform structures. This operation involves meticulous planning and execution to ensure the safety of all personnel involved, prevent environmental damages, re-establish natural habitats and fulfil our social contract. The decommissioning process includes the removal of both topside and jacket structures, plugging and abandonment of wells, restoration of the seabed and a safe disposal while maximizing recycling of materials.   The decommissioning of the P/Q oil field symbolizes the end of an era, but also paves the way for new opportunities in renewable energy and sustainable practices in the North Sea. Petrogas Expands Its Oman Portfolio Through Award of Block 15. Mazoon Petrogas, a subsidiary of Petrogas E&P (PG), the Exploration and Production arm of the Mohammed Al Barwani Group, along with its partner China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals for the exploration and production of Oil and Gas through its joint venture with Daleel Petroleum as the operator of concession area Block 15. The agreement was signed by HE. Engineer Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, and Dr. Mohammed Al Barwani, the Chairman and Founder of MB Group, along with Mr. Zhang Yu, Vice President of CNODC.

Earlier this month Petrogas E&P Netherlands, along with our partners EBN, Rockrose and TAQA, completed the drilling, testing, hook-up and commission of the 3rd well at B10 Platform from the Noble Corporation Resolute drill rig. Together with the A15 wells already completed in February all 6 wells are now in production which marks the completion of the Stage 2+ Project.

Petrogas E&P Netherlands B.V. is pleased to announce, along with our partners EBN B.V., Rockrose(NL) CS1 B.V. and TAQA Offshore B.V. , that first gas production was achieved from the first well on the B10 platform on the 6th of July. This follows first production from the A15 platform in February as part of the Stage 2+ Project in the Dutch North Sea. The Noble Resolute will continue to drill and complete the remaining 2 wells at B10 which are due to be complete in August.
