Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, supportive environment, free from the challenges of child labor. Taking meaningful steps to break this cycle is essential to helping children focus on their education and reach their full potential. We’re excited to share some fantastic news from Davao Del Norte and Bukidnon through Project SPEAK! In Davao Del Norte, parents of child laborers received Php1,150,000 in livelihood assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), allowing them to start their own businesses and build brighter futures for their families. Additionally, 219 children received the school supplies they need to excel in their studies. Meanwhile, in Bukidnon, DOLE’s TUPAD program provided financial relief and short-term employment to the families of 328 children, offering immediate support and reducing the risk of them returning to child labor. These efforts are truly making a difference, and we couldn’t be more excited! By helping families create new opportunities and ensuring children have what they need for school, we’re not just changing lives today—we’re laying the foundation for a future where every child can grow up healthy, educated, skilled and safe. Together, we’re creating a community where everyone can flourish. Because #WeNeedEachOther. #ChildFundPhilippines #EndChildLabor

We believe in creating a future where every child can thrive in a safe, supportive, and resilient environment. With the growing challenges of climate change, natural disasters, and social inequalities, it's more important than ever to come together and take action.   That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’ve taken a significant step forward by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU). Key dignitaries from both organizations, including university officials and ChildFund representatives, were present at the signing. This partnership will allow us to work together on vital initiatives focused on climate action, disaster risk reduction, and child protection.   Through this collaboration, we’re committed to supporting communities in Zamboanga Del Norte to ensure children become healthy, educated, skilled, and safe as they reach their full potential. By combining our expertise, resources, and networks, we’ll enhance the safety and resilience of these communities—because #WeNeedEachOther.      #ChildFundPhilippines #JRMSU #PartnershipsForChange

Youth unemployment is a global challenge, but when young people develop the right skills, they transform into active contributors, sparking economic growth and paving the way for a sustainable future. By focusing on skill-building, we unlock their potential to make a meaningful impact on their communities and beyond. Our Jobs for Youth program, rooted in research and evidence-based programming, is dedicated to closing the skills gap and creating opportunities for young people. With strong, committed leaders, we find the inspiration and guidance to make a lasting impact. Together, we can create meaningful change, especially when it comes to nurturing the next generation. We are passionate about giving every child a safe, happy, and nurturing environment. Unfortunately, child labor, especially in its worst forms, steals away childhood, education, and future dreams. This serious issue needs all of us to come together and take action. This is why, from July 11 to 12 in Koronadal City and July 15 to 20 in Cebu City, we held awesome capacity-building workshops through our anti-child labor project #ProjectSPEAK. These sessions were all about empowering DOLE’s national and regional staff with skills in video advocacy, storytelling, and cinematography. With these creative tools, we’re crafting powerful IEC materials that really connect with people and inspire action against child labor. Through this initiative, we’re teaming up with local governments, agencies, and the private sector to fight child labor head-on. Together, we’re working to make sure every child can grow up free from exploitation and harm. Our goal? To use the magic of visual media to touch hearts and move communities and policymakers to protect kids’ rights. This is more than just spreading awareness—it’s about making real, positive changes. By highlighting these important issues, we’re paving the way for a future where every child can grow up healthy, educated, skilled and safe. 🌟✨ #ChildFundPH #EndChildLabor #ProjectSPEAK #ChildRights

What better way to start the school year than coming together and making sure that our kids have the best environment to grow into their full potential? 💚 Brigada Eskwela is more than just a cleanup; it’s a celebration of community and a foundation for learning. By transforming schools into vibrant and inspiring spaces, we’re investing in the future of our children. That’s why we rallied together with the Department of Education, local government units, NGOs, and countless volunteers for Brigada Eskwela. As we start school year 2024, together, we breathed new life into four schools in Dipolog, Roxas, and Sindangan. It was an incredible experience to witness the power of bayanihan in action! Our shared commitment to education is truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact on our students. That is why we’re bursting with pride over our accomplishments during Brigada Eskwela! Every brushstroke and every repaired desk brought us one step closer to creating amazing learning environments where our children can thrive as healthy, educated, skilled, and confident individuals. #ChildFundPhilippines #WeNeedEachOther #BrigadaEskwela2024

Proper nutrition is the foundation for children's physical and cognitive development, especially during their formative years. Without it, children face risks such as stunting and malnutrition, which can impact their long-term health and learning abilities. As we celebrate National Nutrition Month, we're reminded of how essential good nutrition is for every child's growth, learning, and potential. That's why we have partnered with Convoy of Hope Philippines to implement a School-Based Feeding Program at Sta Cruz Elementary School in Dipolog City and Governor Jose Aseniero Elementary School in Roxas. This initiative provides daily nutritious meals, ensuring children receive the essential nutrients they need to grow healthy, stay focused in school, and develop the skills they need for the future. It also promotes awareness about the importance of nutrition among children, parents, and the community. Last year, over 500 students benefited from this program, showing remarkable improvements in school attendance and nutritional status. This year, we're expanding to support 2,000 more children, continuing our mission of making good nutrition accessible to every child. The School-Based Feeding Program not only enhances students' health and academic performance but also reduces absenteeism. By providing nutritious meals every day, we're contributing to healthier, more educated, skilled, and safe children. 🍽️📚 #ChildFundPhilippines #NutritionMonth #SchoolBasedFeeding
