Inspiration is the key to propelling your career forward. I truly believe in that phrase. That's why I attended the Rhino User Meeting in Wrocław. I was deeply inspired by the speakers and their incredible stories, and I had the pleasure of networking with fellow attendees. It was fascinating to learn how people are leveraging the latest innovations in computational design with Grasshopper, not only in the building industry but also across various sectors. Three presentations stood out to me the most: Lorenzo Pirone - “Project Development and Fabrication Using Wireframe Models” - The AL WASL project in Dubai is truly ahead of its time and represents the type of dream project I aspire to work on. Krzysztof Nazar - "Generative AI and Computational Design in Higher Education and Practice" - Your efforts in advancing computational design skills among students are remarkable. Daniel Petcu - “3D-Printed Orthopedic Shoes and Parametric Thinking” - Your dedication to helping people through your skills and knowledge is incredibly motivating. You are a true inspiration. One of my biggest motivations to work is to see my students progress. From having no experience with programming to seeing them live on stage, showcasing amazing #Grasshopper applications at work. Last week, I attended an International Rhino Robert McNeel and Associates (TLM, Inc) User Meeting in Wrocław. The event was organized for the first time in Poland, so as a Polish person, it was a must-attend event for me! I met there 12 (wow!) of my students from Learn Grasshopper platform. That is amazing to see how they are motivated to take their Grasshopper skills to the next level. Keep up! Inspiring presentations, great talks, and an incredible #Rhino3D community. A big thank you 🙏 to everyone who joined us today at the conference for parametric design enthusiasts and Rhino 3D users Fab Foundation Poland 🦏🇵🇱 It was an incredible experience presenting the latest prototype of our tool for parametric design of logistics and industrial halls alongside Julien Robinet, our parametric designer 🧑🎨 Our tool developed internally in CFE Polska offers rapid cost and CO2 comparisons, carbon footprint calculations, and the ability to quickly switch between various design options, such as different building materials and dimensions. We demonstrated how, with just a few clicks and some basic information, you can obtain a 3D model, a detailed cost estimate, and a carbon footprint analysis within seconds ⏱️ We appreciate the engaging conversations, the valuable connections made, and the interest shown in our work 👌🏻 We look forward to seeing you on construction sites or at future conferences focused on innovation in construction and parametric design. Last Friday, I reaffirmed that the digitalization of the AEC industry won’t happen without Grasshopper. Thanks to Judy Curie invitation, we gathered at the International Rhino User Meeting in Wrocław, joining a mind-blowing community. - Mateusz Zwierzycki was dubbed the godfather of parametric design in Poland. - Zoltán Bereczki explained how Gothic cathedrals were never truly finished, highlighting that Gothic style is more about the underlying rules than the final product. Grasshopper is an ideal tool for defining both Gothic cathedrals and other structures. - Krzysztof Wojslaw, possibly the best Grasshopper teacher worldwide, shared invaluable tips on improving Grasshopper techniques, way of working, and in result life. - Piotr Słojka demonstrated how to digitalize the entire design-to-production workflow using Grasshopper. - Julien Robinet & Grzegorz S. showcased the benefits of digitalization for better collaboration with a client in their example of automating the design of a steel hall building. - Matthew Trimble illustrated how to achieve the highest quality and efficiency by viewing architecture as a product. - and I showed that with #Packhunt and Grasshopper, there's no need to learn programming or set up servers and databases to create your cloud-based tool, no matter how complex. ✨ And that was just the beginning!
