  • How can we protect autonomous aerial systems against evolving threats? In partnership with PatchPlus Consulting, Aptima is addressing this challenge with STAR (System for Threat Analysis and Response), an LLM-driven development agent. STAR empowers AI developers to identify vulnerabilities, build resilience, and future-proof Naval Intelligent Autonomous Systems (IAS). STAR helps to secure autonomous systems by proactively identifying threats through the Security Knowledge Generator (SKG), building and updating a detailed knowledge base of attacks and defenses. Simulating real-world scenarios, the Scenario and Code Generator (SCG) creates step-by-step instructions to test system vulnerabilities, and the Evaluation Report Generator (ERG) provides clear insights to deliver actionable reports for system improvements. With STAR, AI developers gain the tools they need to safeguard autonomy solutions against emerging countermeasures. Want to learn more about STAR and how it can protect your systems? • Today, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we at Aptima honor the legacy of Dr. King and reflect on the profound impact of his vision and leadership. His work inspires us daily as scientists and engineers striving to create a better, more equitable world. At Aptima, our culture is rooted in the principles of innovation, impact, and empathy—values that resonate deeply with Dr. King's teachings. Through our company-wide initiatives like CORE (Culture, Ownership, Respect, and Engagement), we aim to embody his lessons, fostering an inclusive environment where collaboration thrives and diverse voices matter. Dr. King taught us that change often begins with small, meaningful actions. As we reflect on his words and deeds, we are reminded of our responsibility to bring his vision to life—not just in the work we do, but in the way we engage with one another and the communities we serve. Let’s all take a moment today to recommit to the ideals Dr. King championed—justice, equality, and kindness—and continue to work together toward a better future. • How do you know when someone is truly ready for the mission ahead? When it comes to military aviation, cognitive fatigue, stress, and task overload can make the difference between mission success and failure. Yet, traditional readiness checks rely on subjective inputs—like self-assessments or peer reviews—that are prone to bias. That’s why we’re excited to announce Aptima’s Defense Health Agency contract to further develop fORE—our neuro-cognitive monitoring solution that uses fNIRS technology to provide real-time, objective insights into brain activity and physiological health. What makes fORE a game changer? ▪️ MAVERIC Sensor: Ultra-slim, rugged, and wearable under flight helmets for real-time data collection ▪️ fORE Analytics: Tracks cognitive workload, heart rate, and oxygen levels—even correcting for noise caused by motion and perspiration Whether for pre-flight planning or in-flight dynamic decision-making, fORE helps commanders and aircrew make data-driven calls that improve readiness and reduce risk. What’s next? We believe neuro-cognitive monitoring is just scratching the surface of its potential in aviation and beyond. So, we’re curious: What do you think is the most exciting way neuro-cognitive insights could reshape military operations? Let’s get talking! For more information on fORE, visit https://lnkd.in/gQUsMK-a. Photo generated in DALL-E. #Aptima #HumanCenteredEngineering #GenAI #NeuroCognitiveTech #MilitaryInnovation #TalkToUsTuesday

  • We read. You read. We all read about... GenAI? We're intrigued by this recent GovTech article, which highlights how generative AI (genAI) could transform government operations in 2025. From streamlining administrative tasks to enhancing public engagement and decision making, these advancements could reshape everything from training simulations to real-time policy analysis. We're continuing to put a lot of effort into exploring how genAI can improve mission readiness and support human-centered decision making in critical government operations. But, at the end of the day, nothing beats the power of human brains. So, human brains: Which potential application of generative AI do you think could have the biggest impact on government operations over the next five years? What challenges should we focus on solving first? Drop your thoughts below—let's get talking! #Aptima #HumanCenteredEngineering #GenerativeAI #GovTech #TalkToUsTuesday https://lnkd.in/dyiKdaEz
