This week marks one month since Lx.Legal III where we were able to gather outstanding speakers in the field of legal tech and innovation for an amazing conference and the launch of the Legal Literacy Initiative. This initiative is dedicated to empowering individuals with accessible legal knowledge, enhancing transparency, and building a foundation for greater justice. Last weekend I had the opportunity to speak at Lx.Legal III, sharing insights on bridging the gap between #legaltech and #govtech, and how leveraging data and technology can enhance access to justice 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻⚖️📊. A key point from my public sector experience: there is no magic bullet for reforming justice - that so often we hear it as a promise - and it can’t also be changed solely from within. Legaltech innovations—from efficiency, digital streamlined processes to AI-driven tools 🤖—are already transforming how justice professionals work, combined with investing in people’s skills 👩💻👨💻. As these solutions are crucial for a transformative but inclusive justice system, several studies show govtech market could double the booming fintech market. Starting from fundamentals, particularly in Europe, including digital ID, interoperability, and clear regulations, we can not only develop a competitive digital environment but also inclusive, boosting legal literacy 📚 for citizens, ensuring equitable access to justice 🌍. After all, Collaboration is essential to designing future-focused policies 🤝.
