Tunneldurchschlag bei der U2 Pilgramgasse 🚇💪   Die Tunnelvortriebsmaschine Debohra hat volle Arbeit geleistet und eine weitere Etappe erfolgreich zurückgelegt. Ganze 935 Meter hat sie inzwischen vom Matzleinsdorferplatz bis zur Station Pilgramgasse hinter sich gebracht.   Debohra arbeitet 24 Stunden am Tag und das sieben Tage die Woche und überzeugt dabei mit: 🧩27.000 Einzelteilen 📏127 Meter Länge 🏋️♀️1.300 Tonnen Gewicht   Nach der Arbeit ist bekanntlich vor der Arbeit, denn die Reise geht weiter: Zum Notausstieg Kaunitzgasse und danach zur Station Neubaugasse. Dort werden die U2 und die U3 zusammentreffen und eine optimale Zu- und Umstiegsmöglichkeit bieten. Doch bevor es so weit ist, wird Deborah einer gründlichen Prüfung unterzogen 🔍   Gemeinsam mit den Wiener Linien und mit all den Kollegen der ARGE U2 17-21 bestehend aus STRABAG und PORR Group wird Debohra weiter ihr Allerbestes geben #StayTuned  . Tunnel breakthrough at the U2 Pilgramgasse 🚇💪   The tunnel boring machine Debohra has done a great job and successfully completed another construction stage. In the meantime, it has covered a total of 935 meters from Matzleinsdorferplatz to Pilgramgasse station.   Debohra works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and in doing so, is doing a very impressing job. Hard facts of the machine: 🧩27,000 individual parts 📏127 metres long 🏋️♀️1,300 tonnes in weight   But, the journey continues: to the Kaunitzgasse emergency exit and then on to Neubaugasse station. There, the U2 and U3 lines will meet and offer optimal transfer and connection options. Vergangene Woche hatten wir euch unsere EDI-Koordinatorin Natalie Atzenberger vorgestellt 👀 Heute beantwortet sie eure Fragen rund um das Thema Diversitätsstrategie und ihren Beruf bei STRABAG. 🎙️ Ganz im Sinne von „Accelerate Action“, dem Motto des heutigen Internationalen Frauentags, werden wir daran erinnert, dass wir schneller handeln müssen. Genau das versuchen wir bei STRABAG mit unserer EDI-Strategie: Wir versuchen, die Gleichstellung voranzutreiben 🔝 Denn: Laut dem Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie (2024) ist der Frauenanteil in der Bauindustrie mit 14 % vergleichsweise niedrig. Im STRABAG-Konzern sind 17,8 % unserer Mitarbeitenden weiblich, und 9,9 % der Frauen arbeiten in Managementpositionen. Das zeigt: Wir sind schon besser als der Durchschnitt, doch es gibt noch viel zu tun. 💪 Unser Ziel: Den Frauenanteil im Management jedes Jahr um 6 % zu erhöhen und eine Kultur zu schaffen, in der alle – unabhängig von Geschlecht, Ethnizität oder Alter – die gleichen Chancen haben. 👏 . Heute geht es um neue Rezepte... zwar für keinen Kuchen 🎂 aber dafür: Asphalt! 🛣️ Wer mehr wissen will swiped jetzt weiter! 👉 . Today is all about new recipes... however, we're not talking about cake🎂, but asphalt!🛣️👇 1️⃣ New standards Have you ever heard of temperature-reduced asphalt? If not, it's time you did. This is set to become the new construction standard in Germany. It reduces emissions, saves energy and offers better health protection. 2️⃣ Less heat, fewer aerosols When the temperature of asphalt is reduced, the temperature during production is reduced by 20 to 30°C. The installation temperatures also fall by the same extent, down to around 130°C. This results in fewer vapours and aerosols, which is good for our employees. 3️⃣ Better for our environment! The temperature reduction has further advantages: 10 degrees less halves emissions and lowers energy requirements. With a 30-degree saving, approx. 0.9 litres of heating oil less is needed per tonne of asphalt mix. With a 2,000-tonne daily production, this saves 1,800 litres of oil and reduces CO₂ emissions by around 6 tonnes per day. 4️⃣Still learning All of this sounds fantastic, but it's not quite that simple. That's because asphalt quality and paving temperature are closely linked. High temperatures are important when compacting asphalt layers. Since there can be no compromise on quality, work is currently underway to develop new asphalt formulas. 5️⃣New ingredients for a better recipe Since temperature also affects the flowability of bitumen, additives are needed at lower temperatures. Possible options are organic waxes or foamed bitumen – a bitumen that is foamed by the addition of cold water. The effect: flowability is maintained even at lower temperatures. 6️⃣Less leeway for installation Attention: at low temperatures, the time frame for compacting the asphalt becomes smaller. That is why the installation process must be optimised – for example, by using short rolling paths and constant temperature control. Wichtiger Meilenstein für den Stadttunnel Feldkirch: Der Bau des Haupttunnels kann losgehen! 🚧   Im österreichischen Feldkirch, einer Gemeinde in Vorarlberg, tut sich Großes! Gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern JägerBau und Hilti+Jehle treiben wir den Bau des Stadttunnels voran. Bereits am Freitag haben wir einen bedeutenden Meilenstein erreicht: Die Baustelle ist offiziell eingerichtet! 🎉   Das heißt: Die Containeranlage mit Baubüro steht, die Strom- und Wasseranschlüsse sind gelegt und die Gewässerschutzanlage aufgebaut. Nun können die Arbeiten für den Haupttunnel starten. Dieses zukunftsweisende Infrastrukturprojekt wird die Verkehrsbelastung in Feldkirch reduzieren und neue Möglichkeiten für die Region schaffen: Der Tunnel ist ein klares „Ja“ zum ÖPNV und zur Erweiterung des Lebensraums, da der Verkehr ab 2030 unterirdisch fließen wird. Die nächsten Projektschritte 🔜:   🔹 Mitte März – Erste Sprengungen im Rahmen des Voreinschnitts 🔹 Herbst 2025 – Start des Tunnelvortriebs 🔹 Bis Sommer 2028 – Fertigstellung des Haupttunnels 🔹 Anschließend – Innenausbau & Installation der technischen Anlagen   Wir freuen uns darauf, dieses wichtige Projekt gemeinsam mit unseren Projektpartnern voranzutreiben und berichten bald zu weiteren Meilensteinen. Stay tuned! 👀 .   Important milestone for the Feldkirch city tunnel: Construction of the main tunnel can begin! 🚧   Great things are happening in Feldkirch, Austria, a municipality in Vorarlberg! Together with our partners JägerBau and Hilti+Jehle, we are pushing ahead with the construction of the city tunnel. We already reached a significant milestone on Friday: the construction site is officially set up! 🎉   This means that the container system with the site office is in place, the electricity and water connections have been laid and the water protection system has been set up. Now the work on the main tunnel can begin. This pioneering infrastructure project will reduce traffic congestion in Feldkirch and create new opportunities for the region: the tunnel is a clear ‘yes’ to public transport and the expansion of the living space, as traffic will flow underground from 2030. The next project steps 🔜:   🔹 Mid-March – First blasting in the context of the pre-cut 🔹 Autumn 2025 – Start of tunnel driving 🔹 By summer 2028 – Completion of the main tunnel 🔹 Subsequently – Interior finishing & installation of technical systems   We look forward to advancing this important project together with our project partners and will report on further milestones soon. Zoznámte sa s Mirom 👷♂️ jedným z našich stavbyvedúcich, ktorý premieňa výzvy na realitu! 💥 V koncerne pôsobí už takmer 7 rokov, a to, čo začínalo ako cesta asistenta stavbyvedúceho, sa dnes premenilo na skutočný príbeh o kariérnom raste ↗️ Po absolvovaní povinnej praxe a skúšky odbornej spôsobilosti sa posunul na pozíciu stavbyvedúceho a dnes vedie svoj tím pri najzaujímavejších projektoch. Stavebníctvo je pre neho viac než len práca, je to dobrodružstvo, ktoré ho neustále posúva vpred 💪 Za najväčšie úspechy považuje projekty ako dostavbu areálu MO34 a prestížne Ovocné Sady, kde sa podieľal na všetkých etapách výstavby. A to nie je všetko! Aktuálne sa plne sústredí na rekonštrukciu a dostavbu areálu FNsP F. D. Roosevelta v Banskej Bystrici. Stavba novej nemocnice je skutočná výzva, ktorá prináša množstvo technických a logistických výziev, s ktorými sa stretávajú iba tí najodvážnejší 👏 A to je práve to, čo ho na tejto práci baví – každý deň je iný 💯 💬„Stavebníctvo nie je len o teórii – je to o praktických skúsenostiach, ktoré sa zbierajú počas každého projektu,“ hovorí Miro. Na pozíciu stavbyvedúceho je potrebné mať špeciálne vzdelanie, ale najmä túžbu učiť sa a získať prax. Pre budúcich stavbárov má jasné odporúčanie: 💬„Vzdelávajte sa, zbierajte skúsenosti a nebojte sa výziev. Iba tak sa dostanete k najlepším projektom.“ Takže ak hľadáš kariéru, ktorá je plná akcie, rôznych projektov a neustáleho učenia sa, možno by si mal zvážiť práve túto cestu. Was Zement, Sand, Kies und Wasser ergeben? Richtig: Beton. 💯 Beton ist nicht gerade nachhaltig, denn Zement, ein Grundstoff für Beton, ist durch seine Herstellung für 6-7 % der weltweiten CO2-Emissionen verantwortlich (viermal so viel wie der gesamte Flugverkehr). ✈️ Grund: Er besteht aus Zementklinker, der aus Ton und Kalk bei hohem Energieverbrauch gebrannt wird, wobei viel CO2 freigesetzt wird. Der kugelförmige Klinker wird anschließend zu feinem Zement zermahlen. Was also tun für nachhaltigeren Beton? What are cement, sand, gravel and water combined? That's right: concrete. 💯 Concrete is not exactly sustainable, because cement, a basic material for concrete, is responsible for 6-7% of global CO2 emissions due to its production process. This is four times as much as all air traffic. ✈️ This is because it consists of cement clinker, which is made from clay and lime by burning them in a process that consumes a lot of energy and releases a lot of CO2. The spherical clinker is then ground into fine cement.
