Introducing four speakers leading the "𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜" session: 🔸 Vanja Subotić, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy. She will be joining us from Serbia to deliver her talk: "A Duty to Digitally Preserve Linguistic Diversity in the Age of LLMs" Her research spans the philosophy of AI, linguistics, and cognitive science, with a focus on understanding linguistic competence through the methodological analysis of large language models and deep learning models. She is also deeply engaged in exploring the ethical implications of these technologies. 🔸 Dr. Dusan Pavlovic, LL.M. is a data protection and AI ethics consultant with experience in industry, academia, and government. He oversees compliance in EU-funded projects, participates in working groups on AI regulation formed by the Serbian government, and serves as an independent ethics expert for the European Commission. He will be joining us from Serbia to deliver a talk: "Legal and ethical challenges in contemporary AI development and how to deal with them". Dusan will discuss the latest AI regulatory developments, focusing on EU requirements and global trends, and will provide insights into ethical concerns and recommendations for effective AI governance. 🔸 Sray Agarwal is the Director of Responsible AI at Fractal. He will be joining us from the United Kingdom to deliver his talk titled: "The Power and Responsibility of Machine Learning: Ethical and Responsible AI in Action" In his talk, he will discuss the critical balance between leveraging the capabilities of machine learning and ensuring ethical practices in AI development and deployment, highlighting real-world applications and frameworks for responsible AI. 🔸 Tijana Zunic Maric is an Attorney at Law and Partner at Zunic Law Firm. DSC Europe is getting really closeee & we have a new lineup of speakers! 🎤 Igor Ševo, PhD,  is the Head of Artificial Intelligence at our partnering company HTEC. He will be joining us from Bosnia & Herzegovina to deliver his talk titled: “Intelligent Interfaces and Operating Systems”   Igor is a computer scientist, writer, and theorist with a Ph.D. in machine learning. He is head of artificial intelligence at HTEC, but as an independent educator and a former Mensa member, he has authored interdisciplinary work across a range of diverse fields, including philosophy, mathematics, literature, and arts. His published scientific work is relevant to large language models, transfer learning, convolutional neural networks, and specialized algorithms and architectures.   Igor will present new research on intelligent user-interfaces and AI-based operating systems which blurs the line between human and digital agents.
