Hilfe für geflüchtete Jungen: CellMark spendet 15.000 US-Dollar für das Liddy-Dörr-Haus 😊 Aus den unterschiedlichsten Teilen der Welt 🌍 kommen minderjährige Geflüchtete ohne ihre Familie oder erwachsene Begleitung nach Düsseldorf. Einige von ihnen finden im Liddy-Dörr-Haus der Kaiserswerther Diakonie Schutz, Betreuung, ein zeitweiliges Zuhause 🏡 und neue Perspektiven. CellMark Cares, die Wohltätigkeitsorganisation des Unternehmens Cellmark, hat jetzt 15.000 US-Dollar für die Jugendhilfe-Einrichtung gespendet. Sabine Borgstädt, Vice President Finance CellMark Deutschland, kennt die Kaiserswerther Diakonie und hat sich über die verschiedenen Projekte informiert. Das Thema „Hilfe für unbegleitete minderjährige Flüchtlinge“ liegt ihr besonders am Herzen. 💕 „Es ist großartig, dass es im Liddy-Dörr-Haus so viele liebe Menschen gibt, die sich um die Jugendlichen kümmern und ihnen helfen, sich im neuen Leben zurechtzufinden“, erzählt sie. Deshalb hat sie die Jugendhilfe-Einrichtung der Kaiserswerther Diakonie bei der Wohltätigkeitsorganisation CellMark Cares empfohlen. „Wir Mitarbeitenden dürfen jedes Jahr Projekte aus den Gemeinden, in denen CellMark vertreten ist, vorschlagen. Welche Projekte ausgewählt werden und in welcher Höhe die Spenden ausfallen, erfahren wir erst mit der Bestätigung von CellMark Cares aus den USA. Bei uns in Düsseldorf war die Überraschung groß und wir haben uns riesig gefreut, das Liddy-Dörr-Haus unterstützen zu können.“ 😍 „Wir freuen uns sehr über diese großzügige Spende von CellMark Cares“, sagt André Eisbrenner, Teamleiter der Clearingstelle des Liddy-Dörr-Hauses. „Wir können die finanzielle Unterstützung sehr gut gebrauchen, z.B. benötigen wir neue Möbel wie Schreibtische und Stühle, aber auch Sportsachen 👟 für die jungen Menschen müssen angeschafft werden.“ 🙏 Im Liddy-Dörr-Haus finden in enger Zusammenarbeit von Kaiserswerther Diakonie und Jugendamt Düsseldorf zwölf Menschen zwischen 14 und 18 Jahren, die ohne Familie oder erwachsene Begleitung aus ihrer Heimat geflüchtet sind, Schutz und ein erstes Domizil. 🛌 🏡 „Viele von ihnen waren wochen- oder monatelang allein unterwegs, haben eine strapaziöse Reise mit oft traumatischen Erlebnissen hinter sich. Sie kommen erschöpft hier an, haben nicht viel mehr als das Handy in der Tasche, welches das wichtigste Hilfsmittel auf ihrer Reise ist, und stehen in einem fremden Land ganz allein da“, beschriebt André Eisbrenner die Lage der ankommenden Jungen. Meet Tuva Johnsson who recently finished her summer job at CellMark’s HQ in Gothenburg. Tuva studies Logistics at the University of Gothenburg. 🌳 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸? – I served as a Sales Service Coordinator at the CellMark Packaging & Paper Division, where I had the opportunity to support the Sales Service Representatives with document management, including handling invoices, legal documents, and order processing. It was a highly varied role that required me to adapt my approach depending on the type of customer. I quickly learned that effective communication with my colleagues was key. 🌳 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸? – Great! Everyone is so friendly. My impression is that the organization feels open and works as a flat organization with not much hierarchy. As a summer temp, I felt seen and on the same level as my colleagues. In the lunchroom, everyone talks to each other and are like friends, no matter their position, and I genuinely felt they were interested in getting to know me. CellMark also has a strong platform where values, visions, and goals are fundamental, and I have learned that these are things I hold very important for my future career. 🌳 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲? – Definitely! Actually, I have already recommended CellMark to some of my friends. During my summer job, I was not only motivated to strive forward in my work, but it also strengthened my determination to grow professionally – and I had a lot of fun along the way!
