One Week Since the Big News! It’s been a week since we shared the exciting news of Mycorena’s acquisition by NAPLASOL. While this marks a new chapter for Mycorena, it’s far from the end of our mycoprotein journey. 𝗜𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! We are already hard at work to scale up the production on an industrial level in Belgium. 📢 Strategic Shift at Mycorena: Discontinuing Our Large-Scale Project Today we announce the discontinuation of our large-scale factory project in Sweden for scaling our mycoprotein ingredient Promyc. Changing market conditions and reduced investor interest have prompted this decision, allowing us to refocus on a long-term circular upcycling production model and a consumer-facing growth plan covering private label and food service segments in the Nordic market. Our state-of-the-art demo facility in Gothenburg will now be the core of our operations, with the potential to supply up to 500 tons of end-consumer products. We will maximize production capacity at our existing demo plant, support our strong industry partnerships, and explore new opportunities in the food service and private label sectors, where interest in mycoprotein remains high and the demand for locally produced alternatives is increasing. As part of this strategic shift, we are raising investment from existing shareholders and new investors to activate the pivoted growth plan.
