Welcome to OX2, Peter Giang! Peter will lead the delivery team in #Australia as the Head of Construction. He holds a Civil Engineering degree and brings over 25 years of project management experience in the renewable energy and infrastructure industry. “I’m thrilled to be joining and leading the newly formed construction team at OX2 Australia. It’s an incredible opportunity to be part of a company with bold ambitions, and I’m particularly excited about the Horsham Renewable Energy Park project. One of the things I love most about construction is its dynamic nature - every day presents new challenges, pushing us to think creatively and work collaboratively. It’s especially refreshing to see a team built from a broad diversity of backgrounds and experiences, each bringing fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to problem-solving,” says Peter Giang. The Horsham Renewable Energy Park is OX2’s first project under construction in Australia. With projects also currently being built in five European markets, we’re actively accelerating access to #renewableenergy.

We are excited to share these photos from the construction phase of our first project in #Italy. A boost for faster electrification for a stronger Europe! ⚡️ The EU just launched a larger package to promote the EU's competitiveness, and at its heart are electrification and affordable energy. As a renewable energy developer, we hope the implementation of the proposed measures to speed up electrification and clean industry investments will also be rapid, such as: ✅ Driving electrification by unlocking funds for electrified processes & green manufacturing for European companies. ✅ Faster permitting for renewables by cutting red tape to expand wind & solar faster. ✅ Building a stronger Energy Union by enabling a more efficient and flexible use of the grid as well as a better functioning gas market in the EU. European energy production is not only central to the net-zero transition but also strengthens Europe. We look forward to seeing these steps help industries switch from fossil fuels to clean energy. This will further strengthen the energy independence of the European Union. We look forward to working with Energy Vault on the energy storage system for the SEC Renewable Energy Park – Horsham in Victoria, #Australia. This is our first project to be constructed in Australia since entering the market in 2023. “Energy storage is playing an essential role in ensuring the clean energy transition, and we are proud to be partnering on this project with Energy Vault, a global market leader in the storage sector,” says Catherine Way, Director of Development, OX2 Australia. The SEC Renewable Energy Park – Horsham includes a 119 MW solar farm with a two-hour battery energy storage system (BESS). Its annual electricity production is estimated at 242 GWh, enough to power approximately 51,000 households. Za nami inspirujący i pełen dawki wiedzy #AuroraEnergyTransitionSummit w Warszawie 💡 Wydarzenie poświęcone było praktycznym rozwiązaniom, które wspierają transformację energetyczną Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej 🍀 Mehmet Energin, Chief Investment Officer w OX2, podzielił się swoją wiedzą i spostrzeżeniami podczas panelu dyskusyjnego dotyczącego inwestycji w projekty OZE w CEE. Eksperci dyskutowali m.in. na temat wyzwań i możliwości stojących przed inwestorami i deweloperami oraz sposobów wejścia na rynek Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej.  W konferencji udział wziął również Tomasz Guzowski, prezes OX2 Polska. Promujemy edukację przyrodniczą wśród najmłodszych🦉 W ramach Projektu Czynnej Ochrony i Monitoringu Puchaczy na wybranych terenach Lubelszczyzny, realizowanego wspólnie z Fundacja Dla Przyrody, przeprowadziliśmy pierwszą serię warsztatów dla uczniów szkół podstawowych w Stróży-Kolonii i Słodkowie Trzecim oraz przedszkolaków z przedszkola w Stróży-Kolonii. Celem spotkań, w których udział wzięło blisko 160 dzieci, było wprowadzenie najmłodszych w świat przyrody i zrozumienie jej znaczenia, w tym roli gatunków zagrożonych, takich jak puchacz bubo bubo. Co działo się podczas warsztatów? Dzieci: 👉 poznały podstawy biologii i ekologii sów ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem puchacza  👉 oglądały realistyczne modele 3D sów w naturalnych rozmiarach,  👉 porównywały pióra sów i innych ptaków, poznając ich niezwykłe właściwości,  👉 słuchały odgłosów sów i oglądały materiały filmowe przygotowane przez przyrodników. Warsztaty poprowadził doświadczony przyrodnik Marek Kołodziejczyk, który w atmosferze dobrej, interaktywnej zabawy wprowadził najmłodszych w świat dzikiej przyrody.  Cieszy nas, że dzieci tak chętnie angażowały się w rozmowy i zadawały pytania! 💚  #OX2 #FundacjaDlaPrzyrody #Bioróżnorodność #CzynnaOchronaPuchacza #OZE #Biodiversity 

We’re proud to announce that our Halla #offshore wind project in #Finland has completed its environmental impact assessment (EIA) report. Halla, located in the Gulf of Bothnia, is the first offshore wind project in Finland’s exclusive economic zone to complete an EIA report. It is also one of the most extensive environmental impact assessments in Finland to date. The assessment examines the impacts of offshore wind power on marine #environment and the mainland, as well as how to combine #shipping and #windpower. Technical studies such as wind measurements, ice conditions, and soundings of the seabed have also been carried out. Halla is being developed by OX2 in partnership with Ingka Investments, the investment arm of Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer.

Ochrona puchacza dzięki współpracy OX2 i Fundacji Dla Przyrody! 🦉 Od początku naszej działalności angażujemy się nie tylko w rozwój odnawialnych źródeł energii, ale również w ochronę środowiska poprzez m.in. działania mające na celu wsparcie bioróżnorodności w pobliżu naszych inwestycji. W tym celu zainicjowaliśmy kolejny projekt, którego bohaterami są puchacze (Bubo bubo), czyli największe sowy występujące w naszym kraju. Głównym celem projektu jest poznanie stanu populacji i próba zahamowania spadku liczebności puchacza, który w Polsce zmaga się z utratą siedlisk i ograniczoną dostępnością pożywienia. Nasza inicjatywa obejmuje: ✅ lepsze poznanie aktualnego stanu populacji puchacza na wybranych terenach Lubelszczyzny, ✅ monitorowanie siedlisk za pomocą nowoczesnych metod, w tym rejestratorów audio, ✅ instalację sztucznych miejsc lęgowych i tworzenie stref ochronnych, ✅ edukację przyrodniczą wśród lokalnej społeczności w tym warsztaty stacjonarne w szkołach i spacery przyrodnicze. Projekt realizowany jest na obszarze Polesia Lubelskiego, Kompleksu Lasów Parczewskich oraz Lasów Janowskich. OX2 wspiera te działania w ramach naszego zaangażowania w ochronę bioróżnorodności, a Fundacja Dla Przyrody prowadzi prace terenowe i badawcze, dzięki swojej eksperckiej wiedzy. Razem działamy, by zapewnić przyszłość temu wyjątkowemu gatunkowi.
