Since December Saab is a part of the European CBRN SoS project - Enhancing Cross-Border CBRN Operational Readiness and Effectiveness through an Overarching System-of-Systems Approach. Coordinated by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, the project aims to create a cross-border comprehensive information system capable of integrating diverse national CBRN systems and components. Spanning 36 months, it´s co-funded by the European Commission under the European Defence Fund and brings together a consortium of 12 EU Member States and associated countries. Saab´s participation is co-funded by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV - Försvarets materielverk) and supported by the Swedish Armed Forces.

On Friday, January 17, Sweden's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Maria Malmer Stenergard, visited Saab's facilities in Linköping and Karlskrona, accompanied by Saab's CEO, Micael Johansson. During her visit to Saab in Karlskrona, the Minister was given a guided tour of the production of the new submarines for Sweden. "It was very interesting to witness firsthand in Karlskrona the incredible complexity involved in constructing the new Blekinge-class submarines. The expertise found here is crucial for Sweden, our defense capabilities, and NATO's deterrence," said Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard. #keepingpeopleandsocietysafe
