Ensign InfoSecurity had a meaningful engagement at the "Protect Your Real Estate Assets: Understand your OT Cybersecurity Exposure" event, co-organised with Claroty, where we explored the importance of operational technology (OT) cybersecurity. As Extended Internet of Things (XIoT) systems in real estate become increasingly complex and interconnected, the need to identify and address vulnerabilities has never been more pressing.   Ensign’s Anthony B., presented on the Claroty xDome Exposure Management as a Service (EMaaS), highlighting how it strengthens the security of cyber-physical systems (CPS) assets through advanced threat detection and targeted remediation.   If you missed the event, feel free to reach out to marketing@ensigninfosecurity.com, to learn more about the case studies and best practices we discussed. #OTSecurity #Cybersecurity #XIoT #RealEstate #Claroty #EnsignInfoSecurity

Ensign InfoSecurity’s contribution to advancing the understanding and addressing the needs of OT cybersecurity extends beyond our role as a pillar lead in supporting the development of the Operational Technology Cybersecurity Masterplan 2024 with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). We also had the opportunity to moderate a panel discussion on "The 5 Critical Controls for ICS/OT Cybersecurity" at the Operational Technology Cybersecurity Expert Panel (OTCEP) Forum, organised by the CSA on 21 August. The session, led by Xiang Zheng Teo, highlighted key strategies for protecting Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and OT environments - areas where security is paramount due to the significant operational and safety risks. Participants included Mr Tim Conway, Technical Director of ICS and SCADA programs at SANS Institute, Mr Robert M. Lee, CEO & Co-Founder at Dragos, Inc., and Mr Chin Beng ONG, CISO of Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Our research sponsorship with MITRE Engenuity’s Center for Threat-Informed Defense on the recently published “Defending Operational Technology (OT) with ATT&CK” provides the industry with critical insights into tailored MITRE ATT&CK® techniques for OT, enhancing our collective ability to secure these critical systems. Ensign is committed to developing cybersecurity understanding, capacity and capability building. These initiatives reflect our ongoing efforts to strengthening the cybersecurity ecosystem through both research and practical applications, providing our clients with informed and effective solutions to protect their critical infrastructure. Critical infrastructure driving essential services is the backbone of our daily lives. These essential services rely on secure Operational Technology (OT) environments which present unique technology, cyber and safety challenges.   Ensign InfoSecurity is proud to collaborate with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) as one of the pillar leads, contributing to the “Operational Technology Cybersecurity Masterplan 2024”. This strategic blueprint addresses evolving cyber risks and strengthens the resilience of OT systems, helping shape the security of Singapore’s critical infrastructure and OT landscape.   Read the OT Masterplan 2024 here : https://lnkd.in/eV9ACvQU   Find out more about Ensign’s OT/IOT solutions here: https://lnkd.in/egszJKmi #operationaltechnology #cybersecurity #OT #otlandscape

OT systems are integral to the running of essential services and our daily lives. To ensure the continual delivery of our essential services, CSA has unveiled the 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, a strategic blueprint to address evolving cyber risks and to keep pace with changes in the OT cybersecurity landscape.   The updated OT Masterplan 2024 was announced at the Operational Technology Cybersecurity Expert Panel (OTCEP) Forum, by Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information and Minister-in-charge of Cybersecurity.   In her keynote address, Mrs Teo outlined the Masterplan’s key areas: to uplift the cybersecurity posture of OT operators, deepen Singapore’s cybersecurity capabilities, and reduce risks and vulnerabilities through security by design and deployment.   In particular, Mrs Teo highlighted security by design and deployment as crucial aspects in safeguarding the lifecycle of OT systems, as different OT system components are produced by different Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). To enhance cyber resiliency and reduce vulnerabilities in the OT ecosystem, a group of 14 OEMs have committed to adopting “Secure by Deployment” principles.   In his welcome remarks at the #OTCEPForum2024, Mr David Koh, CSA’s Chief Executive, also reiterated CSA’s continued commitment to working with stakeholders in the OT ecosystem, noting that the updated Masterplan was developed in close consultation with over 60 organisations.   Read the OT Masterplan 2024 at www.csa.gov.sg/otcsmp2024. On 14 August, Ensign InfoSecurity had the privilege of participating in The Big Spark Dialogues, an exciting new initiative by Ecosystm and Mediacorp Pte Ltd that builds on the momentum of The Big Spark TV show on Channel News Asia. Our joint session with Amazon Web Services (AWS), titled "The Double-Edged Sword of AI in Cybersecurity" brought together government officials, tech leaders, and innovators to explore the profound impact of AI on the cybersecurity landscape.   Drawing insights from Ensign’s 2024 Cyber Threat Landscape Report, Gaurav Keerthi, who spoke during the fireside chat, discussed AI’s dual role—empowering defenders with advanced tools while also equipping threat actors with new capabilities. The dialogue underscored the pressing need for companies to embrace AI-driven solutions while addressing the unique challenges of securing AI itself.    Viewing AI as an opportunity for cyber defence, Gaurav highlighted its ability to find malicious, well-hidden needles in large haystacks of data and threats. In addition, AI can also identify related needles and group them into clusters for more effective detection. AI-enabled tools, such as those developed in-house by Ensign Labs, can detect and cluster related anomalous and suspicious behaviours for the analyst’s attention even when they are tagged individually as 'low' or 'medium' severity by rule-based tools.   We extend our thanks to Joel H. Garcia of AWS for co-speaking and to Sash Mukherjee from Ecosystm for moderating the session.   As cybersecurity becomes increasingly complex, Ensign remains committed to fostering innovation and collaboration to strengthen Singapore's digital economy.   Download the Ensign Cyber Threat Landscape Report 2024 here: https://lnkd.in/eCitRDCr More information on Ensign’s in-house AI solutions can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eq_gdFHp   Stay tuned for this episode to be aired soon on The Big Spark.

Ensign InfoSecurity is privileged to be a contributor of the recently launched Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) Singapore Cyber Landscape 2023. Our article, "AI for Cyber Defence: A Case Study Approach," co-authored by Gaurav Keerthi and Joon Sern L., explores the complexities of cybersecurity today and the transformative role that AI can play. They discuss the challenges of managing vast amounts of noisy data and demonstrates how AI can detect anomalies and potential threats that traditional tools might miss.    The article includes case studies on using our in-house developed patented self-learning AI system, to identify Domain Generation Algorithm (DGA) attacks and analyse email metadata for suspicious patterns. Another case study described how Ensign’s data scientists developed a deepfake detection solution, which identifies manipulated videos in real-time to combat sophisticated scams. As cyber threats continue to evolve, integrating AI into our defence toolkit is key to staying ahead.
