Updates

  • Small changes can have a big impact when it comes to #sustainability. One simple yet effective swap is replacing single-use plastic cling wrap with #beeswax wraps 🐝 Our oversubscribed DIY Beeswax Wrap workshop, led by Melissa Lam from Bamboo Straw Girl, saw more than 50 colleagues learn about the benefits of beeswax wraps and how to create their own wraps using simple materials and household items, such as baking paper, beeswax blend, 100% cotton cloth and an iron. Beeswax wraps, made from natural beeswax and resin, have antibacterial properties and are a great alternative for wrapping food and containers. They are washable, reusable, and help keep food fresher for longer, all while reducing #waste ♻️💚 It was great to see everyone start using their wraps right away, covering food bowls 🍲 and wrapping fruits 🍎, where we slowly but surely shift into a sustainable #mindset in our day-to-day life 🌍💚 #MOHH

  • Last month, MOH Holdings (Singapore) hosted the Heart of Healthcare event, a four-day #celebration of our public #healthcare system’s resilience and #evolution 💙 🏥 It was the first-ever showcase of Singapore’s public healthcare sector in a single event, featuring a mix of immersive exhibits, career show-and-tells, and educational activities that allowed visitors to learn about the entire sector experientially. Starting with an interactive exhibition incorporating phygital games 🎮, photo booths 📸, and heartwarming stories from healthcare professionals, visitors were able to experience our public healthcare system’s journey through the passage of time. The #careers and #scholarships segment of the event, curated by our Healthcare Scholarships and Talent (HST) team, featured representatives from our public healthcare clusters National Healthcare Group, National University Health System, and SingHealth, as well as colleagues from #MOHH and our subsidiaries Agency for Integrated Care (Singapore), Synapxe, and Vanguard Healthcare. Through taster sessions and hands-on demonstrations, these healthcare professionals provided insightful glimpses into their work in the various healthcare disciplines, and how they contribute to Singapore’s healthcare ecosystem. The HST team, as well as academic partners, engaged future healthcare professionals on how they can shape their careers through the various academic options and opportunities available 📚🎓  More than 7,000 visitors dropped by the #HeartOfHealthcare; wild Pokémon, superheroes, and other comic book characters from a neighbouring cosplay event were seen reading up about Singapore’s healthcare history, trying out the games and photo booths, and even making friendship bracelets! Also spotted at the event were Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung, Second Minister for Health Masagos Zulkifli, and Minister of State for Health Rahayu Mahzam. 🙌 Thank you 💟 to everyone who played a part in making this event a successful one❣

  • ⚠️ Almost one in three #healthcare workers witness or experience abuse and/or harassment at least once a week. Since April last year, the Tripartite Workgroup for the Prevention of Abuse and Harassment has been working on a public education campaign to raise awareness of this issue and educate everyone that we all have a part to play in keeping healthcare workers safe. As part of the next phase of the #NoExcuseForAbuse campaign, the Workgroup has crafted a new #pledge to invite all healthcare workers, patients, and members of the public to work together to maintain a safe and respectful environment for our healthcare workers 🏥 💖 To highlight the sector-wide support for the zero-tolerance of abuse and harassment of our healthcare workers, the Workgroup and our public healthcare clusters took part in a collective launch of the pledge across Ministry of Health (Singapore), National University Hospital, Singapore General Hospital, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Advisor of the Workgroup Minister of State for Health Rahayu Mahzam, Workgroup co-chairs Prof Chua Hong Choon and Jasmin Lau, were joined by MOH Holdings (Singapore) Deputy CEO Christine Kho and Healthcare Services Employees’ Union President K Thanaletchimi to launch the pledge at the College of Medicine Building 🤍💛🧡❤️ As a Workgroup member, #MOHH values protecting the well-being of all our colleagues who play critical roles in Singapore’s healthcare system. Join us in supporting our fellow healthcare workers by pledging to care for them. Abuse and harassment take time and attention away from caring for you and your loved ones. There’s really #NoExcuseForAbuse

  • Our MOH Holdings (Singapore) Huddle+ 2024 saw 262 #students from secondary schools, junior colleges, polytechnics, and universities embark on an immersive five-day learning journey to gain first-hand experience in various disciplines within the public #healthcare sector ⛑🌟 Organised by #MOHH’s Healthcare Scholarships and Talent (HST) team, this annual flagship programme has evolved from being a purely attachment-based programme to also incorporating a two-day workshop segment. 📅 Three-day Attachment: Through hands-on #attachments at over ten hospitals and healthcare institutes, students stepped into the shoes of healthcare workers and acquired invaluable real-world experience across nine healthcare disciplines — including Nursing, Diagnostic Radiography, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Physiotherapy, and more! 📝 Two-day Workshop: To help students reflect on their insights and learnings, students were given the opportunity to explore their strengths using tools like the HIGH5 strengths test, set personal goals, better prepare for interviews, and learn from the group’s collective challenges and concerns. A huge shoutout to our HST team, healthcare clusters National Healthcare Group, National University Health System, and SingHealth, and our subsidiaries Agency for Integrated Care (Singapore) and Vanguard Healthcare Pte Ltd for making this programme a meaningful and successful one for our future generation of healthcare professionals 🚀

  • 30 MOH Holdings (Singapore) colleagues recently had the chance to explore the Pastel Nagomi art form in a workshop organised by our Handicraft Interest Group. Using just pastels and fingertips – no brushes required – participants created beautiful and expressive artworks, showing how accessible art can be, regardless of background or experience 👐 Originally founded by Hosoya Norikatsu in 2003, Pastel Nagomi Art is known for its gentle approach to painting, allowing artists to create soft, soothing visuals while finding relaxation in the process. Ignatius Yeo, a self-developed visual artist, shared his unique blend of Eastern and Western techniques, guiding participants in exploring the beauty of Shan Shui Hua (Chinese landscape painting) through this special medium 🏞️ The session was a great way to unwind, experiment with a new art form, and connect in a relaxed and creative setting 🙌

  • The Healthcare Infrastructure Projects Division of MOH Holdings (Singapore) partnered with our subsidiary Vanguard Healthcare Pte Ltd to organise an art workshop for 45 seniors from the Vanguard Active Ageing Centre (Senja) @ 3G Wellness Centre and Senja Care Home 🎨 Colleagues and seniors spent the afternoon exploring their creative sides through a variety of art techniques, including bleeding tissue paper, string-pulling, squeegee-painting, and the use of cling wrap to create vibrant and colourful artworks 🖌️ The workshop not only provided the seniors with an outlet for artistic expression but also encouraged social connections, creating moments of joy and laughter for both participants and volunteers. Thank you to the Vanguard Healthcare team and all #MOHH volunteers for their support in making this meaningful initiative possible. We look forward to more opportunities to add colour to the lives of the seniors we care for 💗

  • The latest MOH Holdings Pte Ltd (Singapore) Drinks@4 brought colleagues together on the last day of the Lunar New Year celebrations for a toast to prosperity and togetherness. From a boisterous Lo-Hei session to a hands-on flower-making station by our Handicraft Interest Group, it was an afternoon filled with good food, great company, and festive cheer. The buzz continued in a round of Bingo and a "Dress up a God of Fortune (Cai Shen Ye)" competition with sustainable materials to earn #MOHH House points in a race to the finish line as we draw near to the end of a year-long competition between the four houses. The celebrations also shone a spotlight on our MOHH Development Awards (MDA) 2025 recipients. Our MDA Scholarship and Sponsorship Awards support high-performing employees in pursuing part-time or full-time degree and diploma programmes — a reflection of our commitment to the continuous #development and growth of our talent. ✨ Here's to a fantastic year of the Snake! 🐍

Their work enables ASD to be an effective administrator of the Ministry of Health (Singapore)'s healthcare #schemes such as Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) and CareShield Life (CSHL).
