When one sibling was diagnosed with advanced chronic kidney disease his brother didn’t hesitate to step forward as a living kidney donor. With the expertise of Dr Hersharan Kaur Sran, Medical Director of the Adult Kidney Transplantation Programme at the National University Centre for Organ Transplantation (NUCOT), National University Hospital - NUH, he underwent a pre-emptive kidney transplant, giving him a second chance at life. A Night to Remember: Coming Together to Celebrate Our Best and Most Dedicated People Joining us this year was Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Gan Kim Yong. At the prestigious biennial event, we gave out 67 awards – including the NUHS Pinnacle Awards, Distinguished Senior Clinician Awards, and Emeritus Consultant/Fellow Conferments - to 77 outstanding recipients who made great contributions to patient care, research, and education in our academic health system! Last evening was particularly special as we honoured our past NUHS Board Chairman, Mr Hsieh Fu Hua, for his invaluable contributions to NUHS in driving healthcare innovation and fostering collaborations.
