We had a fruitful and rejuvenating day at MOHT’s 2024 Staff Retreat! This year's retreat embraced the theme of ‘Celebrating Strengths.’ The day kicked off with an energising session led by Purva Hassomal, where we explored our CliftonStrengths and discovered how each of us can harness our unique talents to foster personal growth, deepen collaboration, and elevate team performance. We also teamed up with Yiming Chen to design and launch CliftonStrengths atlases for display in our office. Over lunch, a panel of colleagues - each representing different strength clusters - shared how they apply their talents in their daily work. Eugene N. Today, we proudly launched HOPES jointly with the Institute of Mental Health (IMH). HOPES, or Health Outcomes through Positive Engagement and Self-Empowerment, is a digital health platform that we co-developed with clinicians, peer support specialists and client volunteers to support individuals with psychosis and mood disorders. It integrates data from fitness trackers and smartphones, enabling care teams to personalise interventions and enhance clients' self-management. Since 2019, MOHT and IMH have collaborated to develop HOPES into a clinically relevant, client-centred tool that integrates into existing care workflows. In 2023, we piloted HOPES within IMH’s Early Psychosis Intervention Programme (EPIP). Along the way, HOPES continued to be refined based on clinician and client feedback, with a focus on delivering a holistic recovery-oriented experience. The platform now includes recovery-focused language and offers over 80 tailored resources. We are excited to continue enhancing HOPES and extend its reach to support a broader range of adjacent use cases. We welcomed Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS) to our new home at Elementum. Sharing more than just a neighbourhood in Singapore’s vibrant biomedical hub, we are united in our mission to convene, execute and grow system-level enablers required for innovation and patient centred transformation. Special thanks to Danny Soon for sharing CRIS' work in fostering synergies among Singapore's six key national R&D initiatives and clinical services. From our modest beginnings occupying a handful of workstations in MOHH’s Harbourfront office to our new home in Elementum, MOHT's journey of healthcare transformation continues. Today, we are delighted to celebrate the opening of our new office in Elementum at One North – the hub of digital innovation and biomedical breakthroughs – with our neighbours MOH Holdings Pte Ltd (Singapore), Synapxe and partners from Ministry of Health (Singapore). Our new office isn't just a place of work but also a reflection of who we are and how we can best get things done. It is designed to reflect our evolving culture and support our mission of a transformed health system that is patient-centric, data-driven and digitally-enabled. Incorporating feedback from colleagues, our new office is thoughtfully designed to balance functionality and comfort, catering to different work styles and team dynamics. Every aspect, from the spaces designed for teamwork to those quiet corners for reflection, is a testament to our shared aspirations and spirit. We are grateful to our many partners, supporters and well-wishers over the past seven years, for the opportunity to collaborate, to learn and to grow together. We are excited about a future that's brimming with possibilities, as we continue to design and implement impactful solutions for Singapore's healthcare – one pilot at a time. Mental wellness is often overlooked in today's fast-paced society. To commemorate World Mental Health Day 2024, we spent an afternoon focusing on self-care and mental wellbeing - enjoying a yummy DIY lunch, tea blending workshop, and heartfelt conversations about stressors we face as well as how we manage them. World Mental Health Day 2024, themed "It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace", highlights various aspects of mental health at work, from workplace conditions and stress management to the importance of social inclusion and empowerment. With guidance from mindline.sg colleagues, we reflected on our emotional resilience at work, and how we could better identify and reach out to colleagues under stress. There was gratitude aplenty too, as we shared experiences in which a colleague had done something nice for us. 😊 A big thank you to the Mental Wellness staff subcommittee for nourishing our body, mind and soul, and reminding us to journey together - mindfully, thoughtfully and caringly. ❤️💚 Weng Mooi Tan, Hwee Ting Liang, Victoria Koh, Foong Ying Melody Lai, Valerie Ng, Nurul Afiqah, Caleb Tan, Xinyi Hong, Elsie Ng, Yongqing Lin, Alexis Lee, Cynthia Ong, Kimberly Yap

Our Movements for Health (M4H) programme seeks to create an environment to raise awareness, galvanise residents to take action and advocate for healthy behaviours. We are glad to celebrate Parking Day 2024, organised by our M4H community coach, Bold At Work, under their Design The Good Life initiative. Over 60 spots at five carparks across Singapore were transformed into health awareness spaces engaging about 1,000 residents on 14 September 2024. Held at Chai Chee, Lengkok Bahru, Queenstown, Yishun and Jurong East, residents learnt more about the steps they could take for better health and wellness through various ground up initiatives. The different hosts for Parking Day had demonstrated that small lifestyle changes can make a big difference, even simply by making small changes to our eating habits, or encouraging friends and family through regular chats. A big thank you to the organiser Bold At Work, M4H partners and everyone who participated for making this year’s Parking Day a huge success! We were delighted to host a team from Bosch Health Campus today, a leading centre for healthcare innovation in Stuttgart, Germany. Both Singapore and Germany are facing similar challenges in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, driven by factors like digitalisation and demographic shifts. The BHC integrates patient care, biomedical research, and education to tackle these challenges head-on. We had a fantastic time exchanging insights and exploring how BHC and MOHT’s approaches can help shape the future of healthcare.
