Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) draws to a close today with much excitement and fruitful outcomes. Over 25,000 attendees came to SWITCH this year, and many of you visited our booth armed with questions and an openness to collaboration. Thank you for connecting with our start-ups and programme leads from BLOCK71 Global, CyberSG TIG Collaboration Centre, NUS Enterprise@Singapore Science Park, Deep Tech Hub NUS Agritech Centre (NAC), NUS Innovation with Societal Impact, The HANGAR by NUS Enterprise, NUS Graduate Research Innovation Programme (GRIP), PIER71™. Congratulations to NUS start-ups Qritive, Factorem, Seadronix Corp. and TideWise for being selected to be part of 50 start-ups competing in the SLINGSHOT Domain Finals! In the panel discussion “Global Perspectives Panel: “Universities, innovation and spin-outs – are we helping or hindering growth”, Prof Tsuhan Chen, Deputy President (Innovation and Enterprise), NUS shared an expression he tells his staff all the time, “Interdisciplinary actually brings out diversity”, when remarking how you do need talent and ideas from multiple businesses all coming together to be a successful start-up or entrepreneur. Dr Shuwen Koh, Director, Technology Transfer and Innovation at NUS Enterprise also spoke at the IEO Forum organised by SMART Innovation Centre during SWITCH 2024, sharing the latest initiatives and learnings on IP Commercialisation to invited guests as Keynote Speaker. We would also like to extend our thanks to the Midlands Engine Partnership and Midlands Enterprise Universities for hosting us at their booth. It was a great opportunity for sharing and networking with UK university senior leadership. We look forward to connecting with many of you, post-event. See you soon!
