It will provide a fuss-free experience for customers who will not be required to pre-register, making it a seamless transition to using eBL for shipments. A unique feature of the eBL allows the shipper to be on the platform without the consignee needing to be. 🗣💬 Lionel CHATELET, Chief Commercial Officer, PIL, said, "PIL is pleased to partner with WaveBL to offer an advanced eBL solution to our customers to better streamline transactions, reduce costs, improve productivity and contribute to carbon footprint reduction for us and our customers. We are leveraging this partnership with Wave BL to upgrade our internal processes to make sure that the efforts made by our customers to switch to eBL will be translated into an immediate improvement to the way we are managing their documents and their shipments. We hope that we, along with shipping lines, customers, eBL solution providers, and financial institutions, will be able to collectively convert more customers to eBL solutions.” ⬇🔗 For more information, please read the full press release on our website: https://lnkd.in/g95c5-Ts #PIL #PacificInternationaLines #PushingBoundaries

  • 𝗣𝗜𝗟 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲 🌱💡 With sustainability at the core of PIL’s business, we are committed to taking concrete action to drive a greener future. Let’s see how our teams around the world have put on their Future-Focused lens to groom more green fingers and cultivate a green mindset among our colleagues! 👨🌾👩🌾 At the UAE, the team collaborated with the Dubai Municipality to organise a workshop on indoor gardening for our local colleagues. At this informative session, our PIL UAE colleagues learnt more about the different types of indoor plants and their associated health benefits, as well as how to grow them successfully and healthily, so that they can do so in their own homes! 🧒🌲 Driving the green initiative one step further, our colleagues from Guangzhou, China brought along their kids for a tree-planting activity on 1 June. This day is also Children’s Day in China, making it all the more meaningful to instill awareness among the young ones on this special occasion regarding the importance of environmental protection. 🙋♀️🌳 Over in Jordan, the team also contributed towards creating a greener environment by planting trees at a local forest. Our Jordanian colleagues planted a total of 30 trees within a day’s work, which is reflective of PIL’s commitment in driving environmental sustainability where we operate. 💕🌐 At PIL, we are heartened to see how our teams around the world are also aligned with our Future-Focused value with their green initiatives. On this sustainability journey, we will not stop our efforts in inculcating a green attitude and minimising our environmental footprint! #FutureFocused #Sustainability #DrivingConnectivity #PIL #PacificInternationalLines

  • 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗞𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗵 🙋♀️🙋♂️ Recently, five of our Management Associates Nerin Khaira, Sherlyn Tay (IHRP-CA), Bryan Tan, Jing Fa Toh and jedrek koh, had the once-in-a-life-time opportunity to sail on board our vessel Kota Megah from Singapore to Shanghai. This is a part of PIL’s unique Shipboard Attachment programme which lets our shore colleagues experience the life as a seafarer! 🚢💡 During this 9-day journey, the five of them got a deeper insight on container vessel operations, including safety procedures. Following which, they also had a glimpse of an overseas working experience as they immersed themselves in the business activities of our offices in China. ⬇📝 Let’s relive their 9-day journey through Nerin’s reflections below!

“I’m going on a ship!” 🚢 I am so grateful for the opportunity to sail to Shanghai onboard Kota Megah. This shipboard attachment gave me an insight into what life onboard a container vessel is really like. We were given tours of the bridge, engine room, galley and deck both at port and at sea. We even had the opportunity to experience drills where we were taught not just what to do in an emergency but also how to operate the lifeboat. We spent a majority of our time on the bridge where we had the opportunity to learn more about navigation and leadership onboard our vessels. Time passed too quickly onboard as we berth in Shanghai on the following Friday morning. In Shanghai, we were welcomed and taken care of by our colleagues in PIL’s China Regional Office and Shanghai Local Office. We were given an insight into how Regional and Local Offices work hand-in-hand to carry out daily tasks. We even caught up with other colleagues in Shanghai on their third rotation as part of PIL’s Management Associate programme, giving us an insight into what to look forward to on our overseas rotation! I am beholden for the hospitality from the crew onboard Kota Megah and our colleagues in Shanghai. A big thank you to Wan Qin Chua, Emily and Philip for organising and planning, making this shipboard attachment a smooth sailing one (pun intended)! And thank you to Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd for the opportunity! #maritime #drivingconnectivity

Li Fuqiang, the Master of Kota Kamil, immediately directed our ship off its original course to the location of the distressed fishing boat, where our crew found two fishermen who were severely ill. Working closely with the local authorities, the Kota Kamil crew quickly assisted with the emergency evacuation of these two fishermen and brought them to a Sri Lankan naval vessel 140nm away where they received medical attention. Kota Kamil has since resumed its voyage to Singapore. 👏👍 Kudos to Capt. Li and the entire crew of Kota Kamil for providing prompt assistance to the distressed fishermen! Your admirable act is testament to PIL's 'People-Centric' value, in which we spare no effort in ensuring the safety of life at sea! PIL is proud of all of you! #PIL #PacificInternationalLines #PeopleCentric #MaritimeSafety
