SIF launched the Southeast Asia Partnership for Adaptation through Water (SEAPAW) in collaboration with the World Economic Forum with a main focus on strengthening water resilience as an approach to climate adaptation. SEAPAW focuses on key areas such as water management, food security, and nature-based solutions, aiming to develop sustainable, long-term adaptation strategies. In order to drive regional impact and sustainable growth, SEAPAW aims to leverage on three key strategies to do so: unite communities around water solutions and resilience, foster collaborative efforts with leaders and experts, and encourage businesses to innovate in climate adaptation. • Delegates from Indonesia recently visited Singapore for a study visit as part of the Occupational Therapy for Children with Special Needs (OTSPED) project to learn more about occupational therapy and how various organisations in Singapore work with children with special needs. Launched in 2019, the project aims to enhance the capabilities of 50 special education practitioners from Yayasan YPAC Jakarta and other SPED institutions through training conducted by Singapore International Volunteers, comprising occupational therapists from SingHealth KK Women's and Children's Hospital. These practitioners will acquire skills in behaviour management, self-care training, and tracking developmental progress in children, ultimately benefiting over 2,000 individuals, including patients, families, teachers, and volunteers in the Indonesian community. We'd like to acknowledge and thank our amazing SIF staff for their hard work and dedication towards making this visit possible!

𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐖 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐱    Our leadership team, Chairman Janadas Devan, CEO Corinna Chan, and SIF's patron President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, visited Equinix Asia-Pacific's modern data centre in Singapore. This visit followed Equinix's participation at #SEAPAW's launch event, where they expressed their interest in supporting our efforts to accelerate climate adaptation through water.    Equinix, a global leader in data centre infrastructure, is a valuable partner in our mission to address water challenges in Southeast Asia. Our team learned more about Equinix’s water conservation efforts in data centres, including efficient cooling systems, the use of rainwater and non-potable (NEWater), and various water recycling initiatives, while underscoring its role in the digital economy.    Through sharing best practices by partners like Equinix, SEAPAW aims to foster collaboration among industry leaders and drive sustainable water solutions in Southeast Asia.    #SEAPAW #WaterResilience #ClimateAction #Sustainability #DataCentres #Equinix #Singapore    Photo credit: Equinix Asia-Pacific
