Anna Milani, founder of SPARKD, is leading the charge in the field of brain-body fitness to improve health, performance and longevity. SPARKD combines physical exercise with cognitive training, addressing the natural decline that begins in our 30s.
Anna has been a personal trainer for over 20 years. Her personal experiences, including the loss of her grandfather to Alzheimer’s and navigating postnatal changes, inspired her to delve into neuroscience and create a training system that helps clients maintain high physical performance and cognitive resilience as they age.
SPARKD has been a disruptor in the industry, setting itself apart with an offering that bridges the medical, health and wellness industries. In a sector where players tend to focus on either physical fitness or brain health, Anna has been educating clients about the connection between the two.
Anna is particularly excited about the growing interest in brain health and longevity around the world. This increasing awareness is driving demand for SPARKD’s unique approach. They have also recently relocated to a more central hub in Singapore to better serve their target audience of corporations and executives.
For those looking to start their own venture, Anna stresses the importance of solving real-life problems, understanding the market and being agile to pivot their approach when needed. She advises surrounding oneself with a strong team that balances heart and passion with business and financial acumen.
Aside from her excitement for applications of tech advances in data tracking, integration, digitalisation and AI, Anna advocates the need to remain grounded in improving people’s lives. She is hopeful for healthcare and healthtech to sharpen its focus on delivering products that solve real problems for real people, not just prioritising scale and profits.
