We are supportive of capacity-building on the #sustainabilityreporting and #climatereporting front. Here is one such effort: Time is running out to secure your spot at the upcoming Value Up! Boards As Stewards of #SustainableBusinesses Workshop in partnership with Stewardship Asia Centre (SAC) on 25 October.   Successful businesses know how to leverage #valuecreation by driving sustainable stakeholder and company value, keeping their business top-of-mind and maintaining a competitive edge in today's marketplace.   A recent global study, Sustainable Sustainability (2023), conducted by SAC, confirmed that businesses achieve profitability and growth by adopting Steward Leadership—a vital shift as 60% of board directors' time is still spent on compliance, financials, and risk, leaving little focus on sustainability, innovation, and leadership. In a 2024 study, Boards as Stewards of Sustainability, SAC subsequently found that boards across 11 countries are aligning profit with social and environmental impact, showing that forward-thinking boards can drive success while fulfilling their fiduciary duties.   At this workshop, learn how to tackle the leadership challenge and embed stewardship and accountability into your organisation's culture.   Don't miss this opportunity to transform your approach and secure long-term success for your business. Register now for the Value Up! Workshop and become a steward of sustainable success to enhance your business's profitability and growth!   Click here to secure your place: https://lnkd.in/gw4q_GWi

"To drive impactful L&D and talent development initiatives, four key elements must align: top management buy-in, creative use of technology, employee motivation to reskill or upskill, and—most importantly—a shared culture of continuous learning and growth." This was one of the powerful insights shared by Sunil Puri, our Senior VP of Research & Engagement at Stewardship Asia Centre, as he moderated a panel at HRM Asia’s Learning & Education Technologies event. The panel focused on transforming L&D from a cost centre into a value centre, winning stakeholder buy-in along the way. 🏆 The discussion delved into critical topics, such as: 🔹 Navigating the complexities of redesigning learning experiences to fuel both employee development and business growth 🔹 Reducing the cost and impact of ramp time to boost productivity and performance 🔹 Linking LMS investments to business outcomes to inform smarter decisions and improve the bottom line A big shoutout to the stellar panelists who joined Sunil: 👏 Janice Yunli Zhao, Head of Global Learning & Development – Singapore, Micron Technology 👏 David Hendrick Jr., Director, HR Capability Development, National Healthcare Group 👏 Amor Villalon, Director & Head of Talent Management, Org Development & L&D, NTUC FairPrice We look forward to collaborating with our stakeholders and partners to shape the future of L&D and talent development! #StewardLeadership #LearningAndDevelopment #TalentEnablement #HRInnovation

"Maximising Profit by Maximising Purpose" — that’s the insightful argument Rajeev Peshawaria, CEO of Stewardship Asia Centre, explores in his latest op-ed byline for The Straits Times. 💡 With growing pushback against the ESG model, many are quick to claim that focusing on environmental and social concerns detracts from profit generation. Rajeev challenges this notion, emphasising that ESG isn't broken—it just needs a pivot towards Steward Leadership. He argues that while ESG's heavy reliance on governance has imposed compliance burdens, organisations that embrace purpose and leadership as core drivers can unlock substantial growth and opportunity. Case in point? Our Steward Leadership 25 (SL25) initiative showcases for-profit companies across Asia Pacific that marry profit with purpose, from sustainable agriculture in the Philippines to innovative low-carbon finance solutions in Singapore. The takeaway: Maximising purpose is not a distraction—it's the key to unlocking long-term profitability and resilience. 🔑 📖 Read the full article below for a deep dive into how businesses can thrive by aligning purpose with profit. #StewardLeadership #ESG #Sustainability #PurposeDriven #CorporateResponsibility #ProfitAndPurpose
