s7o's DONKEY KING Pet Store & Stables 1.12

11 types of pets (+ an unique one)
1 main + over half a dozen side quests
2 new vendor stables (Reach / Winterhold)
1 new large dungeon location

WHAT & WHERE

New stable locations are added in the Reach near Old Hroldan (main stables and
pet store) and Winterhold (behind Frozen Hearth Inn).

DONKEYS
To buy a donkey, talk to the local hostler (Tubby in the Reach, Yanna in Winterhold),
- or complete the main quest to earn one -, after you paid, just activate the one you
want and it's yours. Donkeys can be ridden both with or without a saddle.

Compared to horses, donkeys might be a bit leisurely at walking and trotting, but
they're excellent swimmers, and they can sprint like hell (and do so about forever
without tiring). Also, they're extremely sturdy and far more damage resistant than
horses. Think of them as Skyrim's dirt bikes, if you will.

I recommend Horse Leash and Horse Tie from my Park Your Ride mod for
your donkey conveniance.

PETS
Before pets can be bought, the main quest must be completed. Feels-The-Beasts
will resume pet training right after her return, new pet types (11 in total) will unlock
at about 1-2 per game day - but only when you're away, so be sure to check back
and look around the place (seeing a new pet type for the first time enables it for
buying).
To have chaurus, chicken and spider pets unlocked, you'll need to collect a couple
of according eggs for Feels-The-Beasts first.

To buy a pet (once unlocked), talk to Tubby at Reach stables.
2 additional pets (one of them unique) are available through side quests.
You can have a maximum of 3 pets at a time.

To control your pet, activate it. There are options to make it
.) follow / wait in place / wait & relax (default: follow)
.) follow close / in a distance (default: follow close)
.) stay out of / aid in combat (default: stay out)
.) set home here / wait at home (*)
.) set Secret Spot here / wait at Secret Spot (*)
.) tell the others (copies this pet's settings to all your other pets)
.) dismiss

Also, you'll be added a PET WHISTLE lesser power.
By default, all your pets are controlled with one whistle, if you prefer separate
whistles for each of your pets, talk to Feels-The-Beasts.
Using the whistle will:
.) not in combat: toggle follow / wait & relax
.) in combat: toggle stay out of / aid in combat

(*) "Secret Spot" can be any random place, your pet(s) will hang out in a radius
around just where you set it. "Home" can only be in a location, but your pet(s)
will also hang out in all sub-locations, like belonging interiors etc.

QUESTS
You'll get the main quest from Tubby at Reach stables (or by finding the
quest's location and/or any of Feels-The-Beasts notes).
Completing the quest unlocks pets, earns you a free donkey and rewards you
an amulet that, when worn, makes all of Skyrim's animals your furry friends...

Side quests start in various ways, you'll come across them.

OPTIONAL PLAYER HOME
For a unique player home right inside a dungeon location, just find a key
(there's 3 of them inside Nas-Zel).
The place features all kinds of workbenches, racks etc, switchable lights,
usable bath tub & toilet and much more, lots of safe storage of course, and
2 private spheres to safeguard you inside Nas-Zel

Unlocks 3 additional Cache Sacks

ISSUES

.) Your Privat Spheres will hybernate in front of instead of inside their pods

.) Some of the voice audio's, uhm... not so good :-)
A male voice actor who'd like to redo Tubby's voice audio would
be very welcome

Heya I realize this is old, but I had a question: I accidentally stumbled into the Snoop quest while doing something else, but even after completing it, it won't leave my journal? I told Snoop to run home, he didn't. I took him on as my pet, then tried telling Tubby I found him - he stayed with me. I finally resorted to telling him to leave - he doesn't, he keeps following me. Then I killed him (I felt horrible) to see if that would get the quest out of my journal, but even that didn't get rid of the 'Pet 1' thing in there. I can't stand journal clutter, so any tips on how to clear it would be appreciated.

i dont know if anyone reads these but i need help how the hell do you get out of Nas-Zel i have been going round ans round incircles getting angrier and angrier can someone please help?

@ ^1 npg yeti: sry for late answer - in case you still got that problem:
did you steal anything or try to ride the donkeys before talking to the vendor (considered stealing too)? if so, just going away for a while should fix it (3 game days until stuff like this resets iirc).
or he'd also be hostile if you killed one of the pets (including the obnoxious mudcrabs and the caged fox in serpent's bluff redoubt) - that'd be worse, guess it'd take some consoling to fix this, if you're still having this, let me know and i'll see what i can do

@ hammerfest: yes, it should work on anything that can be filed under "living animal".

...you'll end up the same travelling circus i did it seems (me, my donkey, the AutoMate (from nas-zel), 2 white foxes (one regular pet, and Snoop, the captured one in, uh, the forsworn hangout above reach stables), and whenever anyone was coming at us, all animals in sight came running to our aid, never brought myself to go without that ever after again :-)

hey s7o: it's been a while since i've used this mod, can't recall if the amulet reward works on slaughterfish or not....i'm thinking of making an argonian hunter/fisherman, just want to know. if not, no worries. i'll still run around with the pets and the amulet.

@ killiaynna: this is gonna get another update anyway, but after the one for park your ride (and then there's fo4 modding, day work etc, too...)
setting a stage won't help you much because it won't stop the scene she's in ("busy").
if you want to try to fix it via console, do what i posted below and console-move her to her destination, that's definitely your best bet at the moment before i get to looking into this

adding it again lol, trying new things now like merged mods n wrye bash, lol, too many cool mods so im teaching myself more n more about pc gaming , tricks n whatnot to make my game awesome n yes that does include this mod..just wish there was a fix for her or a console command to set stage to get the broken one out of my quest log if i cannot get her to work...hint hint lol
