Heya I realize this is old, but I had a question: I accidentally stumbled into the Snoop quest while doing something else, but even after completing it, it won't leave my journal? I told Snoop to run home, he didn't. I took him on as my pet, then tried telling Tubby I found him - he stayed with me. I finally resorted to telling him to leave - he doesn't, he keeps following me. Then I killed him (I felt horrible) to see if that would get the quest out of my journal, but even that didn't get rid of the 'Pet 1' thing in there. I can't stand journal clutter, so any tips on how to clear it would be appreciated.

i dont know if anyone reads these but i need help how the hell do you get out of Nas-Zel i have been going round ans round incircles getting angrier and angrier can someone please help?

@ ^1 npg yeti: sry for late answer - in case you still got that problem:
did you steal anything or try to ride the donkeys before talking to the vendor (considered stealing too)? if so, just going away for a while should fix it (3 game days until stuff like this resets iirc).
or he'd also be hostile if you killed one of the pets (including the obnoxious mudcrabs and the caged fox in serpent's bluff redoubt) - that'd be worse, guess it'd take some consoling to fix this, if you're still having this, let me know and i'll see what i can do

@ hammerfest: yes, it should work on anything that can be filed under "living animal".

...you'll end up the same travelling circus i did it seems (me, my donkey, the AutoMate (from nas-zel), 2 white foxes (one regular pet, and Snoop, the captured one in, uh, the forsworn hangout above reach stables), and whenever anyone was coming at us, all animals in sight came running to our aid, never brought myself to go without that ever after again :-)

hey s7o: it's been a while since i've used this mod, can't recall if the amulet reward works on slaughterfish or not....i'm thinking of making an argonian hunter/fisherman, just want to know. if not, no worries. i'll still run around with the pets and the amulet.

@ killiaynna: this is gonna get another update anyway, but after the one for park your ride (and then there's fo4 modding, day work etc, too...)
setting a stage won't help you much because it won't stop the scene she's in ("busy").
if you want to try to fix it via console, do what i posted below and console-move her to her destination, that's definitely your best bet at the moment before i get to looking into this

adding it again lol, trying new things now like merged mods n wrye bash, lol, too many cool mods so im teaching myself more n more about pc gaming , tricks n whatnot to make my game awesome n yes that does include this mod..just wish there was a fix for her or a console command to set stage to get the broken one out of my quest log if i cannot get her to work...hint hint lol

@ killiaynna: that's just a minor side quest that doesn't really matter anyway actually, but if you really think that's reason enough to pass out on the donkeys, the pets, Feel-The-Peace etc, well, what can i say...

well going on my third new plathrrough (changed afew mods so doing a clean play) think until you can help with the issue at hand i will keep this uninstalled as i cannot prgress any further while she is stuck downstairs classified as this person is busy n just stay in that one spot to never move away from it again lol... hope to hear from you soon! i do love this mod, but trying to not have broken quests n anything that may hinder playthroughs ..Thank You ~ K

okay , well i could never get her past the downstairs door into the rabbit pen, she just stops n either stands there or sweeps and when i talk to her it says this person is busy...even restarted a new game ( that was planned lol) n just came to her again, i let her go down stairs first as u suggested n had no followers with me n she still will not progress past the door and continue with quest objective once she is downstairs in front of door...still says this person is busy if i try to talk to her..suggestions or a concole code to progree past this point?? i now have one pet earned through a mod that is now regfistered as pet 1 that i do not want to lose as it was unexcpeted, a dwarvan spider :) . @ killiaynna: yeah i know that part can be a bit wonky, the space is somewhat too narrow for that many actors down there - if you still got the autosave where you enter her house, wait upstairs until she's gone down, this should do the trick (and sry for inconvenience, donkey king's in yet for another update round anyway, gonna see to that too)

hi, im currently on the bun bun mission and i get 2 follow her down stairs 2 b shown the new bunnies but she just stops at the door n nothing else is happening, when i try 2 talk 2 her it says "this person is busy," she wont go into the bunny pen area, i sat in front of her 4 bout 1/2 hr as no speak talk so i wasnt sure if she was talking 2 me n that needed to b finished 4 the quest 2 progress or finish but nada, suggestions?? i dont know if u r still monitoring this or not , fingers crossed u are or someone else who is still using this n has a solution or console code to progress.. oh n on third pet he took my money but it didnt register when i tried talking to the saber cat.. i will try that tho again in few days ..also does " dismiss" send it back to original stable 2 allow for a new pet purchase as it states three at a time is limit>> thank you !! i look forward 2 a response from anyone who can help ~K

thx, good to know, never tried CH (i personally use "oblivious horses" and my own park-your-ride mod), but i tried to keep the donkeys as vanilla horse compatible as i could (in fact, they're a horse to the game in everything but their "race").

...there currently seems to be an issue with this one concerning the dialogue pet controls (in my game anyway), currently checking this and fix coming up

Did you know that your “Donkey King” is compatible with “Convenient Horse”?
The key commands for picking flowers, Inventory etc. work for the Donkey as well?
Is this intentional? It’s great!

sorry for taking so long, the issue was extremely hard to find (thx for pointing me to it to cd_cooley from beth forums), and day work was eating my modding time...

@ bear: about half way tracking down the issue right now (the update i posted tonight was coincidential and has nothing to do with it), found the cause, haven't found the cause for the cause yet though, working on it :-)

I'm having the same problem as geezustpleezus. I completed the main quest and most of the side quests, but Tubby always responds with 'Not now.' I show up during usual shop hours (8 AM to PM) but I'm never able to buy a pet. I've tried moving the mod to the bottom of my load order, but nothing works :c

@ assja20: the notes are in satchels scattered around reach stables, there should be quest markers to them if you have the quest active (if they don't show on screen, check your automap).
or you can also start the quest directly at the ruin, it's right above bloated man's grotto .

I haven't found either notes or the ruin so far, although I finished most dungenonquest bevor I got the mod. Is it possible I've just been to few ruins? (I found one pet though...)

Huge fan of this mod, but sadly it doesn't seem to work anymore. I haven't played for about 6 months and now everytime I try to buy a donkey, Tubby and Yanna both say "Not Now".

@ demonic shadow: actually, the most recent update should have fixed anything i found that could possibly have glitched like that, if this didn't fix it, i really don't have the slightest clue what's wrong in your game (and your reports are rather vague for finding something particular from them, too) -
if feels-the-beasts is back at reach stables and the main quest completed, tubby should sell anyway, you really sure she's back (if not, the main quest's NOT yet completed, check your quest log for "Lost In Eggtion")? this can take her a while, esp in heavily modded games with broken ext navmeshes
gonna take another thorough look into this anyway, currently playing fo4 and back to modding in a week or so :-)

@ demonic shadow: what do you mean "can't get donkey"? donkeys should be available right from the start (with a few exceptions when tubby is in a scene, like when he releases the mudcrabs) with no need to complete the quest first , and both at reach stables and winterhold stables.
so "can't get" means you don't get the dialogue to buy one? or the vendors won't talk to you? or there's no donkeys there? or...?

on a general side note: you didn't happen to "reinstall" on the same save? if you saved with the mod, then removed it and saved without and then "reinstalled", this can cause all kind of unpredictable glitches (for _any_ scripted mod, not just this one)

@ dracoman99: ok thx for info. this pretty much burns it down to 3 possible causes:
1) out of shop hours. oh ok but you wouldn't get that the buy-pet-dialogue at all if it was that, forget this one :-)
2) the most likely one as i see it: after ftb returns, she'll yet have to "train" new pets, meaning, they'll unlock about 1-2 new kinds a day, but only while you're _not_at_the_stables_ (so just waiting there wouldn't do the trick), and you'll only get buy options for kinds you've _seen_ (when new pets have unlocked, they'll hang around the place and you'll get "pet unlocked: xxx" messages as soon as you see one of them. (yeeeah agreed, this take some time - just wanted to keep it at least a bit realistic :-)
3) some serious yet unknown issue with the mod, so if it's not 2, let me know and i'll see if i can console you through this. (and i have an update with couple tweaks under construction anyway, i'll see i'll get that out till tomorrow)

@ dracoman99: did you complete the main quest? you can't buy pets before that.
if you _get_ that dialogue line at all basically means they _do_ speak anyway, if they didn't at all, (or if they were stuck in a scene etc) you couldn't even enter dialogue.
so if you didn't complete the main quest, tubby might just have run out of "before you can buy a pet"-lines to say? if he _would_ sell you a donkey at the same time, it'd be that :-)
...or maybe you caught him out of shop hours? (can't remember for sure right now though if he has any or is "always open")
(...and the main quest completes when ftb safely arrives back at the stables, this takes her a while sometimes (to pass the time, you could check out the side quests (both earning you unique extra pets) waiting in nas-zel's janitor's quarters - if you found a key in nas-zel - and serpents bluff redoubt :-)

which characters don't speak, all of them? and before/during/after main quest?
and did they ever speak and stop, or never spoke at all?

(for a shot in the dark, if none of them speak, and consoling "sqv s7oDK01questDonkeyKing"
says "running" at the bottom, your archive might be corrupt or incomplete, to fix this one, you can delete s7oDonkeyKing.bsa from your data folder and be sure to let steam redownload it on next game start.

@ glassbonez: there's only the first journal page at the stables anyway, this has nothing to do with the crabs. rest of the pages are all across nas-zel
...and the donkeys are NOT invincible, just really, really sturdy. they CAN be killed though (if you're patient) :-)

@ glassBonez: ouch, looks like you (partly*) found an issue :-) thx for reporting and sorry for inconvenience, going to fix list.
following the mudcrabs is optional anyhow, you still can proceed with the quest, the target location is on the mountain right above Bloated Man's Grotto (from DK stables, just follow the road east)

* the crabs attacking is normal - Tubby means it when he says "keep a safe distance, they're crazy!" :-) - you'd just have to get away from them if they do, as soon as they drop out of combat, they forget about you (their only interest after all is getting to FTB to finish her up :-)
the other animals shouldn't bother though, that's what the issue is

For some reason I bugged out on the main mission.
I opened up the mudcrab cage, then all of the animals attacked me. I killed them all, including the mudcrabs. Then it tells me to follow the crabs to the pet trainers location. But I can't, because they are dead. Can someone help me out here please?
