Throwback: A good year ago we officially unveiled the new 𝗔𝗘𝗠 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝟭𝟮𝟬 electrolyser in front of over 90 partners & customers ⬇️ With the “AEM Flex 120”, we’re addressing the market gap between the compact AEM EL 4 electrolyser (1 kg/24h) and our megawatt-scale AEM Nexus (450 kg/24h). The AEM Flex 120 is designed for rapid, simplified launch of green hydrogen in pilots ranging from industrial process heat to refuelling: ✅Featuring up to 50 AEM Stack core modules ✅Ensuring flexible operation & high reactivity to fluctuating renewable energy ✅Producing ~54kg of green hydrogen / 24h ✅H2 at 99.999% purity with optional dryer ✅Can meet H2 production demands ranging from 70 - 480 kW The skid-mounted system allows customers to choose the exact amount of hydrogen production needed – from 70 kW to 120 kW per electrolyser – with the possibility of adding production capacity later for those who start small. “Italy and Germany are working together to tackle the problems.”👇 German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier underlines the need for H2 cooperation – and Enapter supports Italy’s efforts with 11.5 MW of #AEM Electrolyser capacity Recently, our VP of Strategy & Business Development, Tim Cholibois, was invited to UN Bonn to discuss German-Italian cooperation and the role of green hydrogen in the energy transition. As an Italian-German company, it was a great honour for Enapter to participate in an event attended by both the Presidents of Italy and Germany. While the focus was on large-scale H2 infrastructure projects, we believe decentralised, industrial-scale solutions have the biggest impact today. We’re pleased to see this reflected in the growing demand for our AEM Nexus electrolyser – in Italy, Germany and beyond. Wolong Enapter Joint Venture unveils China’s first megawatt-scale #AEM Electrolyser and starts series production of AEM Nexus⬇️ Wolong Enapter Hydrogen Technologies Ltd, a Joint Venture of Enapter AG and Wolong Electric Group Co., Ltd. have presented the first megawatt-class AEM Electrolyser produced in Shangyu, China. The completion and presentation of this 1 MW electrolyser in Shangyu marks the beginning of the Joint Venture’s series production of AEM Nexus electrolysers for the Chinese market. Wolong Enapter Hydrogen Technologies Ltd has already signed several memoranda of understanding (MoU) for the AEM Nexus with companies in China – among them, Concord New Energy Group Limited, which wants to start a pilot project in 2025, as well as the largest Chinese steel manufacturer, Baowu Steel. Baowu Special Steel Co., Ltd. plans to further expand its existing green hydrogen production to drive forward the decarbonisation of its processes even more strongly. Our CEO Jürgen Laakmann states: “The start of series production of AEM megawatt electrolysers for the Chinese market is an important step in our expansion strategy. Thanks to our Joint Venture with Wolong, we are ideally positioned to capitalise on the growing market potential in the Chinese green hydrogen sector and continue to drive Enapter’s dynamic growth.” Pang Xinyuan, Chairman of Wolong Electric Group, adds: “With Enapter, we have a strong partner at our side to further advance the establishment of green hydrogen in China. One of the major Japanese construction companies is massively developing its green energy business – and our #AEM Electrolysers are an important part of the initiative👇 #Obayashi Corporation is a company with a heritage of over 130 years. As a major construction firm with 15,000+ employees, they focus more and more on renewable energy sources for their projects. To provide their customers with efficient energy systems, green hydrogen will play an increasingly important role. That’s why our local integration partner Mikuni Kikai Kogyo Co. Ltd. has installed a demo H2 generation system at Obayashi Technology Research Institute in Tokyo. Here are the most important aspects at a glance: • It’s powered by a 6 kWp solar array & commercial grid electricity • Our AEM EL 4 electrolysers produce up to 1 Nm3/h of H2 • The H2 has a purity of 99.999% thanks to Enapter’s dryer 2.1 • This is stored in a 32 Nm3 storage tank at 8 bar • It can be reconverted to electricity using their 4.4 kW fuel cell To comply with Japan’s High Gas Pressure Safety Act’s local requirements, Enapter can offer special AEM Electrolyser versions with 8-bar output. Obayashi is testing this #AEMpowered system against a similarly sized PEM unit in a comparative performance trial. Itsuro Mita, General Manager of Mikuni, is very satisfied with the test results so far: “We’re proud to announce that Enapter’s AEM Electrolysers are consuming only 4.5 kWh for the production of 1Nm3/h of H2. This is even more efficient than stated on their datasheet.” This is another good example of how you can quickly start piloting a system with the potential to significantly scale up in a second step – by offering such a system to further customers. How #HurricaneHelene underscores the need for clean mobile power solutions for disaster response👇 Hurricane Helene will be remembered as one of the most destructive storms ever to strike the Southeastern U.S. With sustained winds of 140 mph and a storm surge reaching 20 feet, Helene devastated communities from Florida to the Carolinas. More than 2 million people were left without power—1 million in Florida alone—and the storm caused over $35 billion in damages across the region. In the west of North Carolina and in eastern Tennessee, unprecedented flooding destroyed roads and bridges, complicating rescue efforts. Warming oceans, driven by CO2 emissions from fossil fuel use, have made storms like Helene not only faster-moving but also much wetter. This is how Honeywell reduced its H2 production costs in Germany by more than 85% – using H2 Core Systems GmbH’s #AEM Electrolyser solution⬇️ Honeywell is a globally active Fortune 500 company operating in various business sectors, including comprehensive expertise in all areas of gas supply and use. The multi-national company has committed to make all their facilities and operations carbon neutral by 2035 and have already integrated numerous sustainable technologies into their portfolio. Powered by an impressive 44 kWp photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the laboratory building, 18 of Enapter’s AEM Electrolysers inside the Hydrocabs produce on-site green hydrogen. The hydrogen is stored in a 13m³ pressure tank for safe and efficient use in their research facilities, powering burners with up to 1 MW of firing capacity.
