Rajpal Yadav, Akhilesh's uncle, dies after prolonged illness

Rajpal Yadav, brother of Samajwadi Party's founding member Mulayam Singh Yadav, passed away at 4 AM at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon after a prolonged illness. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has suspended all his activities to travel to Saifai for the final rites.

LUCKNOW: Rajpal Yadav, the sibling of Samajwadi Party's founding member and former Defence minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, passed away at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon at 4am following a prolonged illness.
Former chief minister and current Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has suspended all his scheduled activities to travel to Saifai.
Meanwhile, Shivpal Singh Yadav has already arrived in Etawah. The final rites for Rajpal Singh Yadav will be held in his native village, Saifai.
Ram Gopal Yadav posted on X, stating, "I am deeply saddened to inform you that my younger brother, Rajpal Singh, passed away unexpectedly at 4 AM today at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. His last rites will be performed in my ancestral village, Saifai, later this afternoon. May the Lord grant peace to his soul and give him a place at His feet. Om Shanti!"
Rajpal Singh Yadav was younger than Mulayam Singh Yadav. He was the fourth among five brothers.
His son, Anshul, is also involved in politics and has served as the district council president twice.
Rajpal Singh's wife, Prem Lata, has also been active in politics.
She was the first woman from the Mulayam family to enter politics. Following her, other women from the family, such as Dimple Yadav, Shivpal Yadav's wife Sarla Yadav, and Aparna Yadav, also entered politics.
