Cosmetics and Cleaning Products Industry Association (KTSD)

Cosmetics and Cleaning Products Industries Association (KTSD) has started out in 2010 with the merger of Soap and Detergent Industries Association (SDSD) established in 1989 and Cosmetics and Toiletry Preparations Manufacturers Association (KTMD) established in 1993, with the vision of becoming the common voice of home and personal care industry on legal, scientific, and social platforms. KTSD assures the unification and wide representation of the importing and manufacturing companies in the sectors of cleaning and personal care products. The primary goal of the Association is to support the development of the sectors it represents by closely monitoring both local and global developments. KTSD has accepted among its foremost responsibilities to bring to life projects on cleaning and personal care which will be beneficial for the country and society as well as to ensure the positioning of Turkey as a country with European standards in these sectors. The joint "Touch Water and Soap" campaign of the Association with the Ministry of Health in 2010 is one of the most current examples of the social responsibility perspective. The short-term goals of the KTSD include 'establishing an infrastructure as a source of market data and technical data for the cleaning and personal care products sectors'. KTSD plans to schedule informative meetings, trainings, seminars for the related sector representatives in its role as the strongest public stakeholder of the sectors it represents in scope of the European Union harmonization policies.
