"I was with the AWE cohort 6 and I am glad to be here. My business has grown thanks to the learnings I received from the Dream Builder. The networking opportunities have also helped me meet new people, and these ladies are awesome. I am looking forward to attending the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Conference in November. Thank you to the US Mission in Uganda for all the support you continue to give the AWE ladies." ~ Patience Ayebare, Meili Investment Ltd. "I was a teacher and when COVID-19 came, most of us lost jobs. We started our business in February 2023 and we made one year. We have been lucky to be part of AWE. We are now able to export some of our clothes to other countries because of the lessons we picked from AWE." Jovia Bashabire, 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐭𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. Deals in fashion and design. It is always inspiring for me to contribute towards business growth for early stage entrepreneurs. As such, it was encouraging to see young minds work their way to understand their business models, target segments, unit economics and how they can incorporate circularity. It was also refreshing to engage and learn from my fellow coaches as well as the entrepreneurs themselves. Thanx to SHONA and their partners Rikolto ICLEI and European Union for the opportunity to grow good businesses in Mbale City

🎉 Wrapping up the AfriFOODLinks Circular Agribusiness Bootcamp in Mbale! I had the privilege of being one of the coaches supporting 50 inspiring entrepreneurs on their circular journey. One of my key highlights was discovering that some of these businesses were already implementing circularity, though not as a formal strategy. It was a rewarding experience to guide them in infusing and enhancing circularity into their existing business models. A big thank you to SHONA and their partners ICLEI Africa, Rikolto and European Union for making this possible! Looking forward to seeing the developed circular strategies take flight. #CircularEconomy #Agribusiness #Sustainability #Innovation #Mbale #Uganda #AfriFOODLinks
