This beautiful, minimalist apartment in a heritage-rich district of London is a collaboration between dMFK Architects, Arch. Enrico Ferrari Ardicini and Interior Designer Marta Fontana. The private home has been meticulously renovated to allow as much natural light as possible to flood through the series of understated spaces, whilst a quiet, luxurious materials palette espouses a tranquil ambience for the owners - a couple in their seventies - to relax, recharge and entertain guests. As Executive Architect, dMFK developed creative, beautiful solutions to transform Arch. Ferrari Ardicini’s overarching concept into reality. This involved extensive coordination to conceal the 5,000 sqft apartment’s services whilst optimising its floor-to-ceiling height, which was key to maximising the amount of natural light streaming through the interiors and achieving the seamless, understated aesthetic that the owners wanted. A product of exceptional collaboration, the refurbishment has delivered a beautiful, seamless series of spaces, creating a peaceful, minimalist sanctuary for its owners. Photography by Jack Hobhouse.
