AMPYR Energy USA has acquired two projects comprising over 210 peak megawatts of utility-scale solar energy in North Carolina and South Carolina. The acquisition increases AMPYR Energy USA’s presence in the southeastern U.S. and builds on our growing U.S. pipeline of over 4 gigawatts (GW) of carbon-free energy. “This acquisition marks an important step on our path to expand our solar and battery storage business in the United States,” said Steve Semlitz, AMPYR Energy USA’s Chairman. “Through this acquisition, we continue to build on our greenfield development efforts in the Southeast to create a scalable, regional portfolio of renewable energy assets,” said Sumeet Bidani, AMPYR Energy USA’s Chief Development Officer. #renewableenergy #ampyrenergy #cleanenergy #netzero #solarenergy #batterystorage

Meet our CTO and our Head of Procurement at Intersolar next week.   In 2023, global PV demand reached 230 GWp, a 30% increase from the previous year. While China alone had share of ~45% of the global market. Europe saw significant growth, with installations reaching 40 GWp. Last year, the solar market benefited from a backlog of orders from 2022, when demand surged due to the energy crisis. The labour shortage that previously limited solar deployment is expected to ease from later this year as installers expand their workforce and new players enter the market.   AMPYR Solar Europe is on the path to becoming a leading European IPP, part of Europe’s commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
