Our own Knowledge Exchange Manager, Laura Bouvet, followed this path herself. Using the Professional Internship for Postgraduate Students (PIPS) scheme, she gained hands-on industry experience that helped her combine her scientific knowledge with project management, communication, and data skills—bringing her into her current role. 🌱💡 Laura’s career path is a great example of how early-career researchers can transition from academia to industry. Now at Agri-TechE, Laura uses this unique blend of experience to help drive innovation in agri-tech. 💡Earlier this summer, we took part in the BASIS Reg Ltd trail at Groundswell Agriculture Regen Festival. We came up with ten tough, teaser challenges for the punters and speakers to test their knowledge. 🏋🏽 Being a membership organisation that brings together a wealth of different types of people, from soil scientists to drone engineers, dairy farmers to vertical growers, we had lots of opportunities for knowledge pools to choose from. Questions covered Genetic Tech, CEA, AI and UAVs. Other acronyms are available. But the one below is our favourite... Hazard to take a guess? 🤔

We are hosting an ideation workshop in partnership with Lincam Ceres to raise awareness and spark inspiration among academics to align their research with key issues facing the industry across a range of verticals.   🥔 🎑 At the workshop we will review the challenges of #potato production and #wheat growing, and provide delegates with an opportunity to start framing their concept around the potential to address the challenges they have heard about.   We are inviting researchers across the UK to be part of it, and we’re kindly asking you to disseminate the event amongst academics.
