A healthy start to the day for Nutrition and Hydration Week! 🌿 Over in Leeds, our team championed health and wellbeing by taking part in a refreshing Pilates session, followed by a nutritious breakfast. The perfect way to kickstart the day! A balanced morning routine is key to physical and mental wellbeing, and our Leeds team fully embraced this - moving, stretching and recharging before enjoying a delicious, healthy breakfast packed with nutrients. At our practice, we believe that wellbeing in the workplace is essential to productivity, collaboration and personal growth. It’s fantastic to see the team practise this very ethos while having fun along the way. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and weren’t too sore afterwards! In support of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we’re reflecting on how we design spaces that are inclusive, accessible and equitable for all. ✨ At the heart of our work is ensuring the people using our projects feel safe, comfortable and supported, whatever their needs may be. Across healthcare, offices or education spaces, we create environments where everyone feels supported, including spaces for SEND pupils. One great example includes the Clinic Building at The University of Salford, designed to support the training and education of future healthcare professionals. To create an accessible and supportive environment, we embrace various inclusive design principles such as trauma-informed design and dementia-friendly design. Incorporating thoughtful wayfinding, biophilia, quiet areas and sensory-friendly spaces, we aim to address diverse needs and promote accessibility for all individuals. These features will support staff, students and the local community to navigate and use the space with ease, comfort and confidence. Discover more about how we’re prioritising wellbeing, accessibility and inclusivity in our project case study here: https://lnkd.in/er5XckR6 Keep your eyes peeled as this project is set to reach an exciting milestone. Taking a look at how our building consultancy projects are supporting our education clients’ sustainability goals 💚 We are committed to promoting sustainability throughout our projects and working practices. By delivering places and spaces that are unique, healthy, and inspiring additions to the built environment, we aim to leave the world better than we found it. We have supported a wealth of schools and colleges on their sustainability journeys, including: 🌞 Reducing heat loss and overall energy efficiency, as well as providing a bright space filled with natural light with the provision of new atrium glazing at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School. 🔋 Providing a new solar panel system, supported by Powerwall batteries which cover the school’s energy load during non-daylight hours by storing excess solar energy generated during the day, at Holy Trinity Academy. 🌡 Supporting the reduction in utility bills by providing new energy-efficient glass to reduce heat loss, alongside comprehensive roof repairs at Park Side Academy. 🏫 An expansion scheme at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College incorporates rooftop PV solar panels for sustainable energy generation and utilises energy-efficient LED lighting. As well as making a positive contribution to the decarbonisation of the college's estate, via air source heat pumps supported by photovoltaics. 👉 Read more about these exciting projects, and many others, on our website: https://lnkd.in/eU4puMyY 👇 Discover more about our commitment to sustainability: https://lnkd.in/ec5RAq_F #architecture #buildingconsultancy #sustainability #heatloss #environment #energyefficiency #solarpanels #PVpanels #airsourceheatpumps #carbonreduction
