📰 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀: $𝟰𝟭𝟱𝗠 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗯𝘆 Diageo 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗴𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗺𝗮. 🏭 The 𝟯𝟲𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬-𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗲-𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁 facility is expected to be fully operational in the second half of 2025 and will create approximately 100 jobs. This investment is part of Diageo's broader strategy to strengthen its North American supply chain, bringing production closer to Southern distributors and reducing transportation times and costs. The facility will also incorporate sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact. 🥃 This move follows significant investments beyond Diageo's traditional beer and whiskey offerings. Last Autumn, the company acquired non-alcoholic spirits brand Ritual Zero Proof and launched a dedicated premium spirits business unit. Despite recent rumours, Diageo has affirmed its commitment to its current portfolio, denying plans to sell Guinness Nigeria or its stake in Moët Hennessy. Diageo's expansion reflects a broader trend in the beverage alcohol industry, where companies are adjusting their manufacturing footprints to meet evolving consumer demand. Molson Coors Beverage Company recently upgraded its Colorado brewery and closed a Wisconsin facility, while Anheuser-Busch is investing $𝟭𝟲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 to expand its Los Angeles plant for non-beer production. 📉 Their last report, released in July, showed a 𝟮.𝟱% 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 in North American organic net sales. Diageo's senior leadership cited a cautious consumer environment, retailer inventory adjustments, and the impact of lapping inventory replenishment as contributing factors to the decline.
