With Alexander Inglot having taken a frankly unreasonable two week break this summer, some of you may be missing him. That's understandable. So for those looking for the questioner to start answering some questions, here he is being interviewed by Nathaniel Dial on his Joy of Padel Podcast. https://lnkd.in/eJadSq9f The interview covers: 🏐 His sporting story 🎾 His #padel playing story and style 💹 His #sportsbusiness career 🎧 And the background behind the creation of All The Angles Take a listen if you are struggling with withdrawal symptoms or are simply curious. And see you all for the next episode covering the #padelbiz next week!

This week our founder Alexander Inglot is focusing on the first of five Townhalls he is organising to coordinate the discussion and evaluation on key pillars in the #UKpadel ecosystem. But don't worry... Next Tuesday we are back and we have a really amazing roster of subjects and speakers coming up in the coming weeks. We are going to be exploring how #Argentina is maintaining its pole position in the #sport worldwide, how to maximise #women's participation in #padel, how the #MiddleEast is growing its unique commitment to padel, and many others. If you have missed any of the previous episodes powered by Hexagon Cup, let www.alltheangles.biz be your first port of call as it gives you links to each episode's videos and podcasts. Thanks again for your interest and your listening. We genuinely appreciate it.

While our host Alexander Inglot takes a small summer break, he has gone ahead and launched a series of Townhalls focusing on the #UK #padel ecosystem. If you are involved, engaged and want to contribute to understanding key pillars of the #British scene, evaluating them and moving towards a direction of travel, then please follow him and please consider this invitation to the first call on #Court Building in the UK. https://lnkd.in/eisjge-h

A couple of weeks back I talked about organising Townhall Calls to discuss, evaluate and plan next steps regarding certain pillars of the UK padel ecosystem. Well, since holidays are over, here we go.... CALL 1 (of 5) TITLE: INCREASING THE NUMBER OF PADEL COURTS IN THE UK DATE & TIME: Thursday 12th Sept 6pm UK time (provisionally for 2 hours) WORKING AGENDA: 1. WHERE ARE WE NOW & WHY 450 courts concentrated in South? % of courts private, public and hybrid? Obstacles: planning permission, regulations, noise opposition, available indoor venues near footfall 2. WHERE DO WE WANT TO BE & WHY What is the target number? What is the target distribution across the country? Do we want the % of private, public and hybrid to meaningfully change? Do we expect accessible public courts? What is the finance & build model? Who manages these? Smoother, easier, faster, more knowledgeable landlord approval and planning approval process 3. HOW DO WE GET THERE How do we get more private, public, hybrid courts financed and built? How do we get the benefits communicated to the relevant audience? Do we focus on existing tennis and sports facilities to convert existing areas? Should we maintain/certify standards of builds and how (quality assurance/safety)? Should we coordinate the building and location of courts and who should be the coordinator? How do we educate landlords? How do we educate planning permission teams? How do we allay NIMBY concerns? 4. LTA What role do we expect the LTA to play in any of the above? Supervisor? Planner? Financier? Subsidiser? Endorser? Certifier? Communicator? Lobbyist? Is it better for an alternative coalition to drive and deliver any of the above? NEXT STEPS If you would like to join this call, please forward your email address to me, either in the comments, or feel free to direct message me it, and I will add you to a Google Meet call. The Working Agenda is just that, so also, feel free to suggest other aspects of the topic that you feel we need to address. Of course the Townhall itself will be fluid and flexible. Looking forward to the conversation next week!

As we hit halfway (roughly) in our first season, and as we reach the end of the summer holidays, All The Angles will be taking a week off this week. Apologies for those eager to download Episode 8... HOWEVER... I want to thank every single person who has joined an episode to date, listened to one or more, and especially to those who have subscribed, reposted, shared and commented. Your engagement has made our continued efforts worth it. We hope you will all continue to contribute, listen, watch, enjoy and engage. AND... Please do take this opportunity to go back over the last 7 or 8 episodes and see if you missed or overlooked any of them.

ICYMI this week we spoke to James Emmett from Leaders in Sport to understand where #padel figures in the global #sportsbiz event and conferences circuit. James gave us a really honest take on what puts padel on the radar, but also what more the sport and its stakeholders can do. That conversation neatly followed on from the first part of the episode, which saw us discussing the importance of padel's own #endemic industry gathering to share best practice, launch opportunities and discuss progress. Catch the full episode at alltheangles.biz.

🚨 !!!EPISODE 7 IS OUT NOW!!! 🚨 We decided to look at business #events and #conferences from two very different angles (we did say ALL the angles, not some 😉 ) First, Ben Nichols from Hexagon Cup joins me as we speak to Alex Ponseti, founder of Padel World Summit and Robyn Duda, founder of RacquetX, to discuss how the time was right for the launch of conferences for both #padel itself, as well as padel in the wider #racquetsport space. How those launches went and where the events go from there. Then, I sat down with James Emmett of globally-recognised international #sportsindustry summit Leaders in Sport, to discuss whether padel appears on their radar as they assemble their events, and how our sport can muscle its way on to their agendas. Sports are judged by the stories they tell and the company they keep. This episode focuses on that. Enjoy! https://lnkd.in/eQ_4j_cS #sportsbiz #tradeshows #businessconferences

This week's episode will take a look at industry #conferences. We explore the rise of #endemic gatherings that allow those in the #padel #ecosystem to meet and mingle. And we also look at padel's place in the wider non-endemic #sports industry conferences. We look at why both are incredibly important components in the growth and development of the #padelbiz worldwide. Tune in tomorrow!

Padel India 's Alan Healy alluded to this in our #Asia focused episode recently... He talked about how Decathlon Sports India could be a game changer for #padel in #India as it would provide #entrylevel and #accessiblypriced #equipment and #apparel for the Indian market. This announcement just reinforced that commitment to the sport in black and white. I think generally Decathlon International are really bullish on padel in so many markets: 🇮🇳 this growth commitment to #India 🇬🇧 their partnership with Soul Padel in the #UK 🇵🇹 having clubs on their carparks in #Lisbon #Portugal with Vive Pádel 👟 their brand #kuikma brand sponsoring top players like Maxi Sanchez and Lucia Sanz etc One to watch and one I would definitely love to interview on All The Angles .... https://lnkd.in/eYtBNEBU
Decathlon aims to boost India's Padel market share to 75% by 2026, targeting 300% growth
